Got the Badland APEX 12K winch installed. Not exactly digging the slight body roll with it. Figured the previously installed Rubicon Diesel Suspension with a steel bumper option would compensate for this but I guess not. My previous Gladiators did not have this issue but they were with aftermarket springs, shocks and track bars.

There is never a free lunch it seems when you add something.

And you compensated for putting a diesel suspension (springs, etc.) under a gas truck by swapping left and right springs, right? Yeah, DUMB question to ask you of all people.

With the snow plow on my truck, that's something I have to consider - it handles very differently. Even though the mount is low, under the bumper, it's carried high while driving and it leads to changes in steering, braking and general handling. It's a lot of weight for a light truck.

The take off Diesel springs I picked up locally came off a very late 2023 model. Front and rear springs had the same part number for both sides. Even the shock part numbers were different from anything I could find and would not show up on any Google searches.

You did your diligence. I’m not sure what was due, so I don’t want to give credit without proper research.

IIRC, it was one of the last "FarOut" final edition diesel Gladiators that even came with the steel bumper. So I thought I did my diligence to compensate for putting on the winch, but as mentioned, it may be too high with the current mount setup.

I really did not want to put too much money into this rig but I may just have to bite that bullet and look for a lower sitting or in frame bumper/winch mount setup.

I’m just messing with you. It’s allowing me to stall before pulling more crap off my Jeep.

And congrats on finding a rare one.

I’d agree for sure. I haven’t seen one mounted that high. I’d look for a bumper with a cavity to sink the winch and I’m guessing it will be gone.
Question and concern from a physics point of view: Did you mount the winch directly to the top of the tow hooks? The torsional force applied at the point the winch is bolted through the hooks may not hold a 10k load applied to them during a pull. The distance between the tow hook mounting points on the bumper mount and the pull force applied will be a long fulcrum force that could exceed the strength of the hooks if the winch bolts don't break free first. Just thinking of your safety.

Did the chalk test for proper tire inflation this morning. Was a good excuse to break out my inflator octopus (4 legged) attached to my remote chuck from my ARB under hood compressor. My tires are Falken Wildpeak AT4W 35" x 11.5". Good pressure was 36PSI all corners. The quad connection makes equalizing tire pressure as easy as connecting the tires to the digital gauge. Airing down is done by simply opening the fill valve while disconnected from the chuck. Air up takes no time after playing in soft dirt and rocks.

From everything I've read and looking at my 2 diesels, the springs are the same from side to side on all the diesels. Wrangler or Gladiator doesn't matter. There are different springs depending on model and options though.
Not sure about the shock stuff.

“Built” my transmission drain catch. Just like a professional transmission service center.

Needs more duct tape to be service center quality (it's a joke, don't @ me) that should catch it all.
