She will perform well, so it's worth it 😂
I’ve been eyeing them for years. I can’t wait to hear the results.

I got the Hooke Road dead pedal and it does come out a little bit further than I like so may need to make some modifications to it to get it to sit back a little further.

Retired. Finally !!
I always thought of my dad as one who was meek, never did anything goofy, never raised cane - after seeing some things written on the garage walls where he grew up, photos of his hunting conquests, and hearing from the father of one of my friends what they used to do - if he was alive, I might have to ask to hear of some of those stories.
I always loved it when my grandparents came to visit. They usually stayed a week or two. Whenever my Dad was chastising or lecturing me about something (a constant), I could always count on my grandfather to intervene. "Did your Dad ever tell you about the time he...." and my Dad would cut him off, "DAD, NOT NOW !!". One time, out of the blue, while we were all sitting in the backyard, my grandfather says, "Did your Dad ever tell you about the time he almost burned the house down ?" My father wasn't there to hush him up. "WHAT ???" I asked. Nothing will lock a young boys attention more than hearing that his Dad, the perfect, did something stupid. "HOW ??" I asked with rapt attention. This I GOTTA hear !!

Turns out my grandfather and his friends were downstairs playing poker, drinking and smoking. (they lived in Brooklyn in a 2 story brownstone) My Dad, then 7 yrs old, snuck a Camel from my grandfather's pack of smokes. He went upstairs, hid under his bed and struck a match to light the cig. Instead he caught the underside of his bed on fire. My Dad JUST LEFT. Shut his bedroom door and left. Didn't tell anyone. My grandfather said the only way they knew the house was on fire was when the smoke came rolling down the stairs.

I totally lost it, laughing like a lunatic. MY DAD ??? Makes ALL the things I did look like nothing !! Oh, I got some ammo on him now !! Just wait, I'm ready now.

When my Dad came home from work, my little sister (a.k.a. The Narc, she will tattle in a second) meets my Dad in the driveway and says, "Daddy ? Poppy told us you burnt your house down when you were my age. Why were you playing with matches, Daddy ??". Dammit !! My sister probably took the best-ever "yeah so ? Well YOU -" retort my teenage butt could EVER lay on my Dad !!

Of course, my Dad, madder than a wet hen, goes to my grandfather still sitting in the yard with his ever present bottle of Piels beer and a Camel between his yellowed fingers. "DAD !! If you EVER tell my kids ANYTHING about me again, you will never set foot in this house again. Understand ?" "Ah, shaddup and get your old man a fresh beer. It'll be a cold day in Hell before YOU tell ME when I can speak. You're not too old for me to put you over my knee.".

My Dad got him a fresh beer.

Good on ya !!

I don't have the huevos anymore to even attempt such a project !!

And this is coming from someone who at age 17 put in a new axle in a friend's Ford 150 while on the shoulder of a way-too-busy freeway to save the tow fee....

When you're young and poor, you will give the stupid a try.
