They’re the same spring. They had trouble getting gas people to buy the diesel springs. Or the other way around. I don’t remember. Mine are reasonably big. 6.5” hd/diesel. 4.5” regular duty in the front. Since putting these springs in, these pictures are about as good as I could find. But it’s never been lower than level. The Willy’s was a decent amount of load. My cargo trailer has a Garrod tongue weight depending on load, but around 400 I’d guess. When I had the Willy’s on the trailer, I also had hundreds of pounds of tools and recovery gear in the bed. Probably 400lbs or more in the bed. Maybe more. I didn’t weigh it.

For comparison these are the AEV HD diesel coils. Different tires but same suspension setup in both. One is rack/RTT but otherwise empty. The other is fully loaded for a camping trip at 12k GCVWR. The AEV's don't sag much.

Not saying yours are, hard to tell without direct comparisons and experience first hand. Just that the AEVs set a pretty high bar. I need to take it out wheeling with the new new Antirock in the front and see how it does, maybe I'll order up some Evo coils to test out.

Love the Willys.

I love that TJ! Someday the Willys will be worthy of road and mild trail. But it’ll be a while. The kids asked me for a ride in it on Saturday, and their two cousins were here. That belt squeal was so horrible, it was just worse than the exhaust coming up through the tunnel. Ha ha. The previous owner chopped the exhaust under the cab for some reason.

I went up to 4.5 in the front, from 4, to make room to flip my drag link. That leveled it. Evo was the only one I could find with tall enough hd springs. So I don’t know how they’d compare. But they’re working for me.

Where in MN? I grew up in WI, and went to college quite close to the cities.

Update. Paw paw boards improve conditions whilst waiting at the gas station. Good place to assume a Captain Morgan stance while posting here.

I guess thats something.

Agreed. They handle weight very well and still ride great on the highway. 500lbs in the rear and the camper hooked up and I still have some rake. Compared to my buddies gamechanger 2.5 with falcon 2.0 shocks the AEV rides night and day better. My only real complaint is you get a bit of lean/sway in corners and the truck doesn't feel as planted.

If you find another HD spring that you like let me know. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to fit in the garage lol.

You’ll love the AntiRock off-road. Having said that, as I’m sure you’re aware by now, they do tend to give you a bit of a lean in corners at speed. (Depending on where you have them set) I’ve found that when compared to disconnected sway bars they work WITH the cycle when you articulate. Not sure I’m explaining that correctly but articulation feels way more controlled. And you don’t have to worry about finding level ground after the run to try and get sway bars reconnected. That alone makes them worth it. :CWL:

I've been running a front Antirock on my TJ for probably 15 years now, I've got their first generation flat metal plate arms. The TJ is also triangulated in the rear and I haven't out boarded the shocks yet so it rolls a lot!

I didn't want the Gladiator to be that roll-y but I wanted to get the rear sway bar up off the axle for clearance so I installed their HD rear Antirock a year or so ago. Then that was too stiff off road for driving disconnected in the front and the front connected wasn't allowing enough flex, I kept lifting a tire before I was fully articulated in Moab. So I just recently installed their HD front Antirock to match. I have no doubt it'll wheel a lot more balanced than before but whether or not the HDs will let me fully articulate on both ends is yet to be seen or if I've gone too stiff with the HDs in conjunction with the AEV HD coils.

But, the HD Antirock doesn't seem to roll any more on the road than the factory bars did, even with the rear triangulated. I'm sure there's a bit more, but it's not noticeable to me. I want to be able to tackle really hard trails but the main priority is still to get there comfortably and safely vs my TJ that I built to just wheel great and rides like a drunk paint mixer.

Yep. I had the first gen flat bar on my LJR. The Gladiator has the billet arms. Not sure if HD or not. They were on when I bought it. I’ll have to get into part numbers to determine. For rear I want to do the triangulated thing with the AntiRock back there as well. Probably not going for the HD. I carry a bit of weight with tools and such but not RTT weight so I think the standard will work for me. I don’t mind body lean as long as I know it’s there and can drive accordingly.

I failed at an install today. Sector shaft brace. 2 bolts with a bushing that goes around the sector shaft. Should be easy. Take a look and tell me I’m crazy. The bolts should be parallel with the wrench placed above the brace right?
