Yesterday I took my doors off for the first time, slapped the Coyote mirrors on and took Ms. Bourbonrunner on an afternoon date instead of "fiddling with your Jeep."

Which in retrospect sounds kinda naughty.

Today I plan on starting my back seat non-delete and wiring project. Wish me luck.
Good luck! The longer I live with my back seats the more I want them gone! LOL

I have an unreasonable fear of messing with the electrics / wiring, but it does look do-able I agree. You have me intrigued. I’ll think about it when I get the Midland.
Most of em are plug and play. You can get fancy with the hard wiring aspect but you don’t have to. Hard wiring is intimidating at first but after you do it a few times it’s just a process. I like to keep it simple. Power-Ground-Signal. As long as you have that with the proper fusing you’re golden.

Im considering a 40% delete. I usually only have 2 of the kids in the Jeep so plenty of room for them. Would give me the opportunity to do a more permanent setup for fridge and power and stuff. It’s a bit further down on the project list. Good thing is kids are out of school on Friday!!!!! That means I only really need to run the Jeep about twice a week! Fuel savings means I can upgrade stuff!!!! 🕺

Yeah I’ll need to pop that wiring cherry sometime. I dream of connecting a train horn to one of the Aux switches. 😂

That’s actually my next project. Just waiting for finances to catch up to order the 813 dead pedal with the momentary switch. I have a switch I can use, but really want one I can engage with my foot so I can still hit the stick horn. Dual times are way more effective than single tones.

I honestly wouldn’t go to the Aux switches for it. If you really need to hit an air horn you don’t want to be splitting your head process between reaching down for an Aux switch and maneuvering a lifted Jeep for an escape at the same time.

This really makes me not want to see what mine weighs...
Yeah I was expecting 6800ish, not 7500.

That's with 50L of water, full fuel tank, full drawer including spare axle shafts and a lot of tools, and both of us in the vehicle. Fully loaded over the road weight for a two week trip.

Good point on the switch, although I doubt I’d use them often as I’m not too sure on the legality up here. 🤔 Also Gladys is stock and not lifted which helps with the wanderlust a bit.

Unfortunately I could use one almost daily. :CWL: I don’t really care too much about legality. I just want to wake up the jack holes tuneing onto the road from the right and looking right while pulling out. It’s epidemic!!!! Them and the ones who think turn signals grant them the right away to change lanes and crap like that. I joke about mounting crew served weapons and flame throwers but am glad that’s really not plausible because I’d be in prison by now.

Retired. Finally !!
The contortions needed are partly what make me hesitate. I’m 6’2 with back issues and I’m still feeling the effects of the running board install I did last Saturday. 😅

Makes sense to mess with the panel instead of the dash, and I’m the same on enjoying mods looking like stock.
I hear ya. I'm short, 5'6" and this is one of the times being vertically challenged is a benefit. I have one broken rib and I thought I was healed enough to take this on, I broke the rib nearly 3 weeks ago.

The twisting and turning was a mutha, ain't no lie. Being 65 adds on. In my mind I can still do it all, and I do because I'm ignorant, but later on my body tells the truth. The mind can lie, the body always tells the truth. Oh yeah, and that damn mirror....

Unfortunately a fire storm dropped in my lap today and I didn't get a chance to even drive the Jeep let alone do any work on it. I've been glued to my desk since this morning and am just wrapping up. Naturally I didn't get any of the honey do list done today either and have caught hell since Ms. Bourbonrunner arrived home. Upshot of working from home? I didn't have to put on pants today (shorts don't count). Downside? She thinks I do fuck all during the day while she's away at work :P

C'est la vie. It is Beer:Thirty.

Not a doctor, but I don’t think 3 weeks is that long for a broken rib to heal. 🤣

I have a “loose rib” that likes to pop out every so often when I get too active or sleep wrong. Then it prongs my chest and makes my heart do funny things if I don’t get it popped back in. So contortions aren’t my fave, even for the love of my JT. 🤔

Funny story, the days I work from home are my busiest for chores and shit and are totally exhausting. It’s nice to go back in to the office for a break. 🤣

Ha!!! My wife thinks the same thing!!!! Well she ain’t totally wrong. I did shred cheese today. That counts right?
Totally counts! A good supply of shredded cheese is one of life’s essentials anyway.

At least my wife appreciates how busy I am on my “home days”. LOL

Keeping it on topic for a moment: Not a damned thing but look at it parked outside begging me to buy something for it.

RIght? Had i not had several big fires to put out today i'd have easily gotten her list done. And after i posted that previous i thought i was done but nooooo another issue with work to contend with.

Whats nuts is she was up at 4am for work and so was I. Granted I didn't punch in until 830am... but i also finished officially at 8pm. She's already in bed to wake up at 4am tomorrow and I'm left to my devices.

And beer. Slainte!
