Most of the guys seem to just connect it in the center console usb and 3m it to the side of the storage box. Totally out of sight and might save you some time trying to hide it and free up that dash usb.
My console USB is only for power. Just tried yesterday as I'm looking into not using that front usb by the window switch.

It should work for CarPlay as well, but many reports of it being flakier than the dash port. On my 2022, my wireless CarPlay worked in the center console, but would drop out a few times per day. Switched to the dash port (got a 90 degree usb cable) and it has been rock solid.

Really??! Hmm, I’ll have to try the dash port. I kept getting an error when connecting my iPod to the center console port. Granted that Ipod is ancient. I’m going to guess it’s because my Ipod is so old but you’ve given me hope.

You should be able to try it wired first. Plug your typical phone charging cable into your phone (lightning if an iPhone) then the usb side of same cable into the console usb port. You should now have wired CarPlay. When using the wireless CarPlay adapter, the console is the preferred place of course (being out of view) and I’ve been jealous of everyone who got a well-functioning port in their console.

edit: and my truck is a base sport trim, so it should work on the higher trims I would think

edit 2: I currently use my in console usb port to plug a usb drive into, a thumbdrive, with like 2k mp3s on it, so it def works for data in addition to charging

Installed some family pride on the dash! Does nothing for performance ,adds weight , possibly glare, and I don’t care!….Jack

On Mack Trucks ,the gold bulldogs on the hood means it’s all Mack inside, holds true on my Mojave it’s all Jack Mack inside!

We’ll, last week I installed 2.5 ton aluminum steering and replaced Clayton Track Bar with a RK, Tuesday we had the following done: 4.88’s, Trussed and LCA braced the front axel, Teraflex Balljoints, new KMC XD rims and 40” Ridge Grapplers. Got 3 of the old rims/tires and 40” spare in the bed, had to put the last 37” in our Kia Forte (FYI the trunk is Huge!). Last pick is dropped off at the shop with 37’s.

That Bad Boy looks massive, I like it.
Can you give me a quick rundown on why you changed track bars, Clayton to RK?

Thank you. The frame bushing was getting weak on the Clayton, 30k miles on 37” tires, the RK looks like to toughest TB out there due to its bushings. I’ll replace the bushing on the Clayton and use as a spare.

Got mine back yesterday, had it regeared to 5.13. Shout out to Marcus @River City Offroad for doing the install (Dana Spicer 5.13s), along with some Teraflex HD ball joints. I dropped off my JTR with him last Sunday (he's about an hour away from me), and picked it up on Saturday. Marcus did a great job - I recommend anyone in the greater Austin metroplex to check him out.

It has been a year since I did my AEV 2.5 Dual Sport lift, and going to 37's. I stayed on the factory 4.10's for a year, and by and large found they were livable, provided I didn't go anywhere with significant elevation changes. 7th and 8th only showed up if there was a breeze at my back, or I was going downgrade. The 5.13's definitely transform things in a very positive manner - I'm happy with the upgrade. In the ~100 miles I've driven so far, I have 7th and 8th back. I'm still in the break in period, so no hard launches, but definitely feel the difference off the line.

Haven’t “done”, but will do. Yesterday picked up five Teraflex nomad split spoke wheels in bronze from Teraflex will call in SLC, UT. My wife’s car is now a clown car. I’m hoping I didn’t go too bold with the bronze, but I think they’ll be great. I just didn’t want black, and really liked these wheels.
I really like mine. Have had to clean some valves so they would stop deflating at the set pressure, I think the used tires I started with got some gunk in there.
I also have a hard time loosening them so 3D printed some wrenches to help. I like the wrench vs the knob, little bit more to turn with and my latest version3 the handle is short enough not to hit the spoke so I can just twirl it off with my finger when it gets loose. (Caveat: do not know if split nomads will have less clearance for wrench handle)
If you don’t have a 3d printer you can have a service print it for you.

Thanks! I do have a printer. In fact, I just dropped off these wrenches from your files for a friend with nomad originals. They work perfectly.

Me too. Makes no sense. And the USB C over the A/B works better. Use an Apple branded lightning cable as well.
