You have the Dana 44 with 3.73:1 gear ratio.

I'd go with the 75w85 as specified in my JT owner manual - I only use fluids in my vehicles that are already rated of specified for limited slip as I have classic cars that require that - I don't like additives so I buy fluid that specifically states for limited slip.
I used only hypoid gear lube, that's rated for limited slip and I believe what I have on hand for my other cars is likely 75w85 or similar.

As an aside -
At this point unless you have swapped out parts, you shouldn't need any lube........ and the Overland you can't swap to a lower gear ratio without changing the entire carrier assembly.

I did 4.88 gears so trying to make sure I put the right oil in. I do have the trac lok I couldn't figure if it was m220 or m200. I just want the right oil

Overland? What carriers did you use?
I've been wondering about lower gears for mine - an Overland with trac-lok (limited slip) rear axle - and found you can't go to the deeper ratio like a 4.10 or more without swapping the carrier.
Just wondering what you used to accomplish what you did.

I had to take it to 249 drivetrain they did everything for me I'll ask what set up he used. It drives amazing with 37s so you think 75w90 would be good that's all I find at the auto parts store

I'd love to know how they did the gear change and what they used. I will be towing a car hauler with mine and am afraid the engine will be turning too slow for good power without it doing like my other truck did - constantly kicking up and down two gears to maintain speed on our hills (and it's only Iowa with 4 to 5 degree grades, not even mountains)

I'm not sure why the book says the heavier lube for the other axles, but since your only real change was the gear ratio, the rest is basically the same setup, if it were mine I'd use the stuff you found - however, make sure it's for limited slip if your shop kept the limited slip in there for you.
Most quality lubes these days are formulated for that and will say so on the bottle.
And to think I used to buy the stuff by the 30 gallon drum!

I sort of extrapolated........... There is only one line in the owners manual that talks of trac-lok. The other doesn't mention it.
Since you can't get the trac-lok with max tow, rubicon or the 4.10 gears, it made sense that they would mention trac-lok only for differentials that fit the Overland- the only model/level where you can get the trac-lok option.

The one line was easy- front differential.
The other was a choice between two - and since only one mentioned trac-lok, I figured that had to be it.
I could also go out and look under my own Overland for the axle label..............

Daniel - Mr._Bill has a good possibility for you. I'd have to look in my shop to see what I used, but his looks good.

The M200 is the rear axle that they use in the JL Wrangler Sport and Overland, sometimes called the "Dana 35 Advantek".

The M220 is the "Dana 44 Advantek" axle used in JL Wranglers that have Trac-Lok and also used in all Rubicon models.

The front axle on the JL is the M180 I think, but if you get Rubicon this front axle is upgraded also.

The JL Gladiator has the M220 standard equipment on all trims.

I would use the least expensive gear oil you can find, because with a new gear set you'll need to drain it again in a few thousand miles anyhow. If it was me, I'd put the cheapest gear oil in there I could find that meets spec, and then at 5,000 miles I'd take the inspection cover off, clean all the magnets and bottom of differential with shop towels, pop the cover back on, and fill with a high quality gear oil that meets the spec in the manual. After that you should be good for a LONG time unless you do water crossings.
