I’ve had the same Craftsmen tool chest, that you can carry, since I bought it in 1980. I buy tools as I need them. I’ve had two new Glads, and four Harleys in the past four years. I do my own service on the bikes, and the Jeep wave oil change thus far on the Glads.

It can work for you.

Have to move out of my house and into an apartment. I have to sell everything I own. Including all my tools. What tools should I keep so I can still work on my Gladiator? I have a huge harbor freight tool box filled to the brim with tools and I need to shrink that down into 2 3 drawer craftsman tool boxes. I'm assuming most of the metric tools. What specific sizes do I need? I know after just installing a Mopar lift kit that I need 15mm, 18mm, 21mm, 24mm wrenches and sockets. Torx wrenches and smaller size sockets. I do carry some tools in the truck as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
DO NOT sell those tools!!! It will be an epic mistake, I promise you will regret it for ever. That reads a bit dramatic, but you got to come with another plan dude.

I pretty much can fill a garage lol. I was a mechanic at a Jeep dealership. I still work on cars for work but I build police vehicles now. More electrical work than mechanical.
Your employer won’t let you store some of your tools in the garage where you build police vehicles?

Not an endorsement. I haven’t bought a set yet, but they claim this set contains every tool you need to work on the drive train and brake systems, and nothing you don’t. You can use it as a guide.

I have that set. Haven't used it much but the tools seem to be decent at worst. I'd be glad to pull it out of the JT and answer any questions if anyone were inquisitive

I will be storing some things there but there isn't much room in my bay. The tool box I have at work is smaller than the one at home so no room in it for more tools.

I would do anything to find a place to store what I have just so I don't have to buy them again. I just cant part with a working tool.

The toolbox you have at work…does that belong to YOU or your employer?
Are you able to work on your Jeep at your employers location (in your garage bay) when you’re not working??

My buddy was tight on space for a few years of his life - so his dresser in his bedroom was his 8 foot long Snap On Classic 96 tool box - full of tools

Anything metric or Torx keep it. Get tool roll ups and keep it in the bed or under the rear seat. I keep 90% of all my tools for vehicles under my rear seat.

Really sucks because I could clear out space for that storage, and if it was just a tank of gas away, I'd help haul it all.
Can't do a lot of things these days, but that sort of stuff, I could manage.

Sell the large toolbox because it won't fit into an apartment building (I assume). Box up all the tools, or at least one of everything, and keep them.
