What Is It? Found under 2016 Wrangler After Washing it today.

I found this under the 2016 Wrangler today after washing it. I think but am not sure it was in the rear area. I believe it in fact it came from the Jeep, one of you will know what it is.

This is like the third post I have seen in the last couple of days of long time members making their first post ever about some weird stuff.

I remember plugs for the transmission dipstick holes looking like that on rebuilt transmissions. Normally removed and discarded. Factory transmissions had a plug that falls into the pan when the dipstick is installed. Let us know what you find out.

Thank you for your replies. Accordingly, I don't think it is anything critical to the vehicle.

And sorry I haven't been posting incessantly since joining. Clearly, I'm essentially a "reader" rather than a "poster".

Yeah, it looks like a transmission cap. One of the flip up types. Not off a Gladiator, but, resembles the one we had on our PT Cruiser.
