What is my favorite part? The solid front axle. Period.

A solid front axle is historical American truck AND classic Jeep. It is durable, has fewer moving parts than IFS and articulates better than any smaller truck on the market in the USA.

IMO: There are many 'good' smaller trucks on the market in the US. I like the newest Ford Ranger and the newer Chevy/GMC small truck offerings. I like the Toyota Taco and I even think Nissan's little truck looks very cool. But in those, in ALL of those; You will not find even one with solid front axle. No other small truck in the US has a solid front axle.

I do love the Jeep brand for its history. I come from a family of veterans. I own 3 Jeeps now, and have had many over the years. But if the Jeep Gladiator didn't have a solid front axle, I probably wouldn't own my JTM. I didn't need another truck, but the Gladiator and it's solid front axle is heaven for this old time - 4WD guy.

But I might be biased... My 1/2 ton RAM and 3/4ton Ford SD ALSO have solid front axles.

Checks all the boxes and then some..
I needed a vehicle that could haul stuff(pickup), that could seat 4 adults relatively comfortably, could manage in adverse conditions, and was under $40k(Sport S limited options), and best of all so many different top/doors off driving experiences.

I was just thinking about similar on the way to work this morning. I traded a Tacoma for my Gladi, I paid less for my Gladi, and everything about it is better than the Taco. The tech is better, the interior build quality is better, I have a diesel so it obviously has more power, but even the gassers I test drove had more power and drove better than the Taco. Maybe I still have some buyers remorse from the Taco, but I'd say my favorite thing about the truck is it's not the Tacoma.

I also feel like my dad is with me every time I drive the Jeep. He was a big fan of Jeeps and the reason I got into them. He had a Scrambler when he was younger, and we had a Renegade when I was younger and thats what he taught me to drive in.

The looks & the utility. As a former Scrambler owner I was excited when the Gladiators were introduced and finally traded my Ford Excursion (which I also loved) for one - much easier to park & on gas!

A Jeep is like buying a Mr. Potatohead. You can interchange parts or add whatever you want to make it your own. When you buy pretty much any other car or truck, it is basically the same vehicle when you sell it years later (plus all the wear-and-tear and depreciation).

Also, I have the back-up lights the OP has. WOW, they are bright!!!!!!

I'm only about 3 months into owning my Gladiator. I was surprised by how many people look at it when you go by. It's definitely unique. I also love the smile I seem to get when I drive it - on or off road. Love being able to take the top off. Love how much STUFF there is out there to modify however you want!

Also, I love that it still has a V-6. Most other midsize trucks now have turbo 4's, which I just can't get into. So far I absolutely love my Gladiator!

Last Saturday I got up at 4 am, drove 250 miles at 70 mph on interstates with adaptive cruise control and my heated seat and Sirius XM cranking and some podcasts on Car Play.

Then got to Rausch, aired down and did about 10 miles of moderate to rough trails, including Crawl Daddy; dragging over huge rocks, pivoting on old tree stumps and pushing a wake across a few 3-foot deep water holes.

Then I aired up and drove another 200 miles on interstates with all those same comforts, getting 23 mpg along the way, and was home safe and very sound by 8 pm.

And this week I switched to my soft top and ran around getting a tan on my bald head.

And next week the rack, roof top tent, fridge and slide-out kitchen go on in advance of a summer with at least 10 camping and wheeling trips on the books.

There’s just nothing else that can do all of that. There are days when I’m stunned at what this rig can tackle without breaking a sweat. I love this thing.

Well I bought a left-over during Covid in 2020 so it came pretty well loaded, and then like many
I had to add just to make it 'my own', steel bumpers, front winch, Sunrider top, WeatherTec
alloy tonneau cover and more. But I think my one favorite thing would be the back-up camera.
Although you didn't ask what I miss most is a power drivers seat.

Easier to park than a full size truck. I love the built in Aux switches and how easy it it is to add accessories by using factory screws and holes.
