Just picked up Gladiator Sport and in the process of upgrading tires and wheels. I like the Toyo Open Country AT III tires in P285/70R17. Prefer the tires to slightly extend outward from the fender. Anyone have experience using 17x8.5 wheel with 0 offset? Searching the Forum and hard to find exact photo perspective to gauge measurement of tire based on a stated wheel width and offset? Any recommendations or suggestions? Thank you.

Your proposed tire size and wheel combination will push the outside edge of tire out about 2.5" over stock setup.
Not an exact comparison but this should give you some perspective:

33X12.5X17 Ridge Grapplers on Fuel Covert wheels 17x9 with +1mm offset, which gives me about 2" of tire poke. Based on Tire size calculator you would have about 0.61" less tire poke than I'm showing - not accounting for wheel width difference which I believe would be minimal.

As Sawanny mentioned the new wheel offset will push the front lip of your wheel outward just over 2 inches. Here is a visual that may help as well showing the difference.

The Toyo Open Country A/T II has been getting solid reviews. If we can help please let us know.

Tagging onto this post: I'm working out the optimal backspacing with 2.5" of lift on a JT Rubicon with 315/70R17's (12.5" wide). I don't have the maths figured out to calculate full steering lock positions when flexed and stuffed. Anyone done those calculations yet?

Curious, getting my Sport S today with Max Tow, even wider axles, looking at N Grapp, 35x12.5x17 on Rbound or Convert, w -12MM offset and 4.5” of BS. I don’t want wheels flush, but some stance, but don’t want to be 3” o/S fender. Help.
