When I first got my Gladiator I loved all the storage places. Behind the seats, under the seats, center console, and glove.

I loaded them all up with tie down straps, hitch pins, flares, tools, jumpers, compass, tire pressure gage, knife and anything else I could think of.

About two months ago I was mounting the bike rack and couldn’t find the mounting hardware - so I ordered more from Amazon. One day delivery so what’s the hassle?

So today I was vacuuming out the truck and opened up the storage under the back seat and low and behold, there’s the damn hitch bolt I couldn’t find!

My question is: how do you keep everything in its place to find it again? Does have a system to keeps things organized where you can find them again? Yes, it’s a first world problem….

I wonder where I put those SKS keys are for the roof basket?

Man.. when these 4xe Gladiators come around people will be crying for that storage space.

You can never have enough!!! Throw your hardware in some ziplock bags or something.

One of my new gladiator’s virtues in my mind is less interior storage than most modern conventional pickups. I’m like you about stashing too much stuff in the truck. It’s early, but I like the volume I’ve been held to here.

The secret to knowing where your stuff is, is always putting it in the first place you would go look for it!

one solution is to have a kid, then the infant seat that's mounted in the center of the back seat eliminates access to 2/3 of behind the seat storage (including jack) thereby reducing your stated problem.

Additional benefit: all the kid attachments & accessories will take over most of storage (as well as rear seat floor)

I moved all tools into a tool bag that is in the bed now - I used a Milwaukee tool bag. The second identical bag has recovery kit in it.

I keep a Yeti Loadout Go box locked in the bed, with everything recovery/towing/strap related. Locked to the bed, and has a padlock on it also. For anything "interior related" (first aid, emergency, dry bag, etc.), those go behind the seats. Under the back seat is a roll of blue paper towels, a regular towel, extra bottle of water, spare dog bowl, etc. I have a key ring that has all of the accessory keys on it, and I keep duplicates in a safe.

Recovery gear under the rear seat (until I get rooftop storage)
Binocs/gum/tylenol/advil/pens/sunglasses center console - the center console insert is fantastic.

Added seatback molle panels (stock rubicon ones are pretty small) with multiple pouches. 2 water bottle holders, one big pack for spare cables, goal zero portable speaker, IFAK, and a couple TBD.

With the new fridge, the bags on the back of the seat are inaccessible and/or cramped, so I'll be taking stuff off and rearranging, again.

We're in "trimming it down" mode, now that we have the fridge, battery/solar gen, etc. We're planning a trip to bear country, so we need smelly stuff in the cab.

Shooting myself in the foot if needed but drain holes are a great option!

I really like your logic. It’s an attribute I’m trying to cultivate. Inside is for inside stuff. Outside stuff, in the bed. What a concept! Not My Pillow…..

I did like those small lockers in the Tacoma bed.
