Or a part number. Searching around on Amazon and find a few but unsure which would be the correct one for my Gladiator. Did a forum search and well, aux switch is mentioned WAY too often for me to search and find anything useful.

No, darn it should have thought of that. So far finding the last letters are all over the place. Wonder if they matter or not.

Plenty of aftermarket aux style switches available and way easier to install. I like the VOSwitch JL300 myself. You don't need to insert pins into factory connectors nor need JScan or Alfa OBD to tell the Jeep it's there.

Well i like the idea of the being integrated and able to be switched from ignition to always on. Any after market ones allow similar function though not through the infotainment.
Ah, that makes sense. I'm not sure the Lasfit is a good fit for you then. You'd need to wire it differently to make it work the way you want, and it still wouldn't be controlled by the infotainment system.

To be honest it does not have to be controlled in the infotainment. I just need to be able to set with reasonable work to be either ignition or always on. That can mean different connections under the hood. I don't need to change it willy nilly, just be able to for each button depending on what I hook up.

Watching an install video and Lasfit might not be a good fit. If I install a genesis 2 battery setup, that distribution box for Lasfit might be in the way,

I think Z-auto has an oem style setup that works with the infotainment.

I also have the voswitch .. great aux switch with 6 switches vs 4 factory and it fits perfectly in the factory switch location

I know that you can set the VOSwitch for either ignition controlled or hot all the time. There is a power switch for the panel you can shut it down when parked or done for the night. I don't believe you can configure the individual switches that way though. If you can, someone please tell me how. I would prefer that I can configure each switch to be ignition or battery controlled as I would really like to run my red lights when the Jeep is off (at the scene of a call) but not have other things on.

My workaround is to have the ignition trigger switch off and I use the power button on the panel to turn all off or on. It works but can be difficult to find at 3am when responding and I don't want the panel to draw anything when parked for the night.

Don't get me wrong here, I really like this switch, it works well and has 2 more switches than the factory. It's easy to install. All positions can handle 30A and the individual switches can be programmed for on-off, momentary or strobe but from what I can find, just can't be configured individually for ignition or always powered. It was not a deal breaker for me. For the price, it's a lot of bang for the buck.

I have an extra set for factory Aux switch and full harness. I installed one set for my big trip this past year and was scared of it not showing up in time. Just let me know if interested. The installation isn’t bad and I like being able to program them through the 8.4 Uconnect screen.
