Which Aux switch set to buy?

The Z-Automotive use the head unit like OEM. After you do the hardware part, use the Tazer or other method to turn on the switch control in the Head unit. You have the same functionality as the OEM version. Also seems a bit easier to install since you dont have to re-pin a connector.

I did end up ordering the Mopar kit, mostly because it was about $200 Cdn cheaper than getting the Z auto one up here. Yeah, I have to play with pins. But still expect the tazer to be able to enable them.

Well, it is done and working and my back is now complaining. I don't contort as well as I did 40-45 years ago.
Had to give up on the orange wires in the proper connectors and spliced them instead. And getting the wire look through the firewall was a PITA, but the rest went fine.
Now I need to add some lights.

I'm glad it worked out for you. For others looking at doing the same. STech had a 4 switch set-up and now a 6 switch set-up. It fits in the same location as the oem switch panel. I have the 4 switch set-up. It is totally independent and does not interface with the radio head. My set-up is wired to an ignition circuit, so if I forget to turn off a switch, I won't kill the battery. You can however wire it directly to the battery. I got mine pretty cheap. I forget the dollar amout, but it was under $100. It came with the relay box, switch panel and wire harness. I needed to supply a circuit breaker that was for the load circuit. 60amp is what was recommended. I'd add a picture if I had one. I'll add it later when I get home.

It worked fine, didn't fit the spot well and didn't work with the uConnect like I wanted. Now it looks factory. I've kept the switch and will use it somewhere else in my life, but it just looked out of place for me.

STech is not cheap. It's nice quality and looked to be closest to the oem switch bank. I just got it cheap. The Mopar set up for $200 is the way to go if you want to tie into the radio.

Are you able to punch/cut the hole in the firewall grommet from the inside? Then push the fish from the outside? Seems taking out the Aux battery would give some more room. I plan on giving it a try, just dont want to cut any of the wires already in the firewall.

Be very very careful feeding wiring through the passenger side firewall grommet. Ask me how I know.
