So the other day I started to notice this whining noise when the engine rpm increases. I assumed it may have been the alternator starting to go bad so I changed it. Well that was not the problem. It sounds like it is in the accessory drive but I cant pinpoint exactly where the noise is. Has anyone else been plagued by this ?

How’s the condition of the serpentine belt? May a pulley going bad? You can spray water on the belt or individual pulley to see it goes away.

I've had tensioner and idler pulleys start to whine before. It could be one of those getting a little icky.

The belt looks to be in good working order. The water is a good idea. Im going to pull it all apart again The weekend.

Also check to make sure your air intake and air box is completely tight. Mine wined at that speed because the air intake hose clamp was loose it the motor.
