Yea I managed to get a premium soft top for cheap and been waiting to put it on because of storage of the hard top. Was thinking of selling the hard top if I liked the soft top enough but mother in law has plenty of space in her garage and said I could store it there so looks like I am going to keep it and if I do any long trips probably put the hard top back on for those types of deals.I just picked up the soft top today, but I'm already leaning toward it being the best mod so far. So much easier to go open air now! It's what I wanted originally, but couldn't find one with everything I wanted on the lot and I was impatient. I was planning on keeping the hard top, but it might be in the Market Place section before long.
Gears are next on my list to do... I'm sure those are going to be really nice too!
where‘d ya find the soft top? I’d love to find a deal on those toYea I managed to get a premium soft top for cheap and been waiting to put it on because of storage of the hard top. Mine was a local listing on here in the market place. Take off for a guy that wanted a hard top. They pop up now and then, just have to be patient and hope they don’t think it’s worth gold. You can buy the premium soft top new from several of the online dealers for $1,600, then it’s just a matter of tax and shipping. I’ve seen shipping quoted anywhere from $45 to $400+.where‘d ya find the soft top? I’d love to find a deal on those to
Happened to see it searching for gladiator parts on Facebook Market place. Guy had it posted on there and I called to see if it was available. He said yes and was about a 2 hour drive from me. It was like about 6 PM. I told him I was on my way. Sure enough he had a brand new still sealed in the box premium soft top. Supposedly when his wife bought the truck was not aware that it was a dual top package. At the dealership they noticed it and from what I gather told them they didn't want the top and then they would not pay for it or the deal was off. So dealer wanted to make the sale and scratched the soft top cost. He kept it for a while thinking she might want to try it but nope so it sat in the garage till he put it up for sale. I had seen a few of them pop up lately but they seem to go quick if they are at a good price so just a matter or catching them.where‘d ya find the soft top? I’d love to find a deal on those to
Did the same a week and a half ago, you’re right, best mod ever!Hey all,
We wanted to share this with those of you that are thinking about getting one of your JT / JL
Why not jut option the soft top? I live in a pretty warm area (even in winter) so a soft top was a no brainer for me, I had the hard top on my TJ and only ever took it off twice since I had no good place to keep it and frequent pop up thunderstorms mean it's a pretty big risk to keep it off. Paying for the hard top then buying a soft top portion for only a small bit...seems overly expensive when Jeep will give you a full soft topThe Sunrider was in my garage for at least a month before the Gladiator arrived last summer. You can go topless in less than 10 seconds and don't have to store the bulky Freedom Panels. I put the Freedom Panels with Hotheads back on in the winter. It only takes a few minutes to remove or re-install the entire Sunrider assembly.
Love the black on red... seriously wanted this color, but none on the lot the way I wanted and I was way too impatient. LolMy best mod so far has to be the Falcon SP2 3.3 shocks, but I'll be looking at this top to be certain.![]()
Been looking at those will likely put them on my hard top when I remove it to switch to soft top. That way when I pop the hard top back on for long trips or possibly cold weather it will already be doneMy 'fav' mod to date that I wish I had done immediately is the hot heads liner with sound strips. And likely the only mod, I can think of, that I haven't done in about the order and/or time-frame I expected over the last 13mos of ownership. It was an audible play.
It was a life saver in the West TX, AZ and NM late June heat (hit high 90s by 10am and scorched over a 100 daily) on the road trip we took. Very noticeable difference within feeling the thermal waves coming down from the thin top. Plus there was a good side effect in keeping the stereo sounding better.Been looking at those will likely put them on my hard top when I remove it to switch to soft top. Because I like the hard top for security, the noise factor, the glass rear window, appearance, and it's a pain in the A$$ to switch full tops. I can go back to a full hardtop in just a few minutes. Since I have no back seat, I have no need to ever remove the full top so back seat drivers can see the stars. When I bought one of the first Rubicons in 2003, I put the soft top down all the time. When the Sunrider function became available in soft tops, I bought one and never dropped the entire top again. Why not jut option the soft top?
