I won't be towing as much as a few guys here but wanted the capability to. Yes the gas tows more but the diesel tows it better/easier. Plus oversized wheels have less impact.Okay, so you want the diesel for towing. The torque at the lower rpms versus the 3.6 revving high
Just don’t drive it at altitude or tow. The over heating issues are so pathetically bad. I’m so glad I didn’t purchase a diesel.Just ordered my first diesel from Gupton on Friday, and will be sending my 3.6 to Vroom. The pentastar has always been adequate, but nothing more. I want a truck that has the power to match its attitude.
As an owner of an "underpowered POS" Im glad to report that ill never have issues with a high pressure pump as you did. ?Was sold on the diesel the day I test drove it. Then when the fuel pump shit. I had 45 days in a gasser. What an underpowered POS and the mpg driving the same way was at best 22. I've seen 29 on a long trip and usually it's around 27 in the diesel. Plus tons of torque. I've never even had to put my foot all the way into it yet. Going up the mountains here I can pull it into manual mode and maintain 8th gear with ease. LOVE IT.

no butt hurt, Im an informed and wrench capable gear head.. torn my MB 3,0L diesel down to the oil cooler 3 weeks ago. just dislike sarcastic asses.Lol yep thats true as well.
Ahh come on. It was a tongue and cheek comment. Don't gotta get all butt hurt.
Definitely not butt hurt on a comment. Butt.....my dealer did me right. Full warranty. Not a dime out of pocket and the rental too was free. Can't complain to much. I did on the other hand have to drive an underpowered POS for 45 days. Except the fact that I did my own homework on the pump and found the part on a shelf in Bakersfield California when Jeep told me they were completely out of stock worldwide. Ehhh it's whatever. As an owner of an "underpowered POS" Im glad to report that ill never have issues with a high pressure pump as you did. ?

I see. Bosch HP pumps are everywhere. I'm familiar with the construction equipment side of diesels and not as familiar with automotive side however, functionality should be the same with some differences for sure.CP 4 just like all the other diesels.
