I can’t complain about how it performed…. Going up hills in the Tennessee mountains, it’d struggle to keep the engine cooled. That needle would run up into the red. Going downhills…was a bit of a white knuckle experience. We had a Prodigy brake controller that we could hit the trailer brakes at anytime. That helped a lot!!That's what I found ironic about our 2021 Grand Cherokee when we had it - with the 3.6 and that short short wheelbase, it was rated for over 6,000 pounds towing! (Wrangler has a longer wheelbase than the WK2)
I think the more your tow vehicle weighs (in comparison to what you’re towing) makes a big difference in the towing experience. I think the Dodge Ram would’ve weighed 1000 lbs more than the Grand.
