Wild JT sightings

Seen my first JT in the wild in my JT. Was in passing on the highway was kinda funny we both exchanged glances and Jeep waved. I was a bit excited and waved out the top with the freedom panels removed

Drove from San Diego to Las Vegas and back this weekend, didn't see another on the road. I did pass the Rebel Offroad wrangler on a trailer though.

I saw two within hundred of feet of each other today on the Sagtikos Parkway. A few scattered in the Massapequa area and one on the cross island parkway on Sunday.

In my area they are running about 10:1 against raptors and you can’t chuck a rock without hitting a JK or JL on Long Island.

I don’t think they are moving as fast as they’d like given how infrequently I see them. I’m building a house in a community where one house has three JK Moab Unlimited and one block has four G-loaded AMG, one being the edition 1 special special edition. This is prime swag truck territory and I do t see them.

Fellow Islander! I have seen exactly 4 in total on the road since they’ve come out. 2 black, 1 silver, 1 white. And I do quite a bit of driving for work.

Another Long Island guy here, these are just not selling imo. I think people are just opting for the wrangler and or are turned off by the price.

I’ve seen about 4 on the road and I drive everywhere, the 3 closest dealerships to me, all less then 10 miles from me have a total of 80 sitting on their lots, and that number is only going to grow going into the fall.

I saw several Gladiators in the Great Smoky Mountains last weekend. We stayed in Gatlinburg but went over to Cherokee and Maggie Valley NC two days and saw Gladiators there both days. Even saw a couple in Knoxville as we were headed home. They are still rare. After the 10th person stopped and talked about how awesome it was and asked me a ton of questions my wife finally asked if that happens everywhere I go. You guys know the answer to that

I have seen two Gladiators in the last week in the south hills area of Pittsburgh Pa. A white overland and a black overland like mine.

I have seen very few in the last 6 weeks. One silver one in Lakeland TN, a red sport in Tucson AZ last week, a couple of white ones in Denver CO, and a black one pulling a trailer near Vail, CO 3 weeks ago. Not too many considering I have 5500 miles now.

So according to the WSJ, citing their source, a fifth of MY18 JLU are still on lots as well as a host of MY18JL.

I read this as in typical Jeep fashion, Jeep dicked around far too long on bringing the JL to market and way too long on bringing the JT to market and missed the lead up to Peak Jeep which is where we are now. Everyone who wants a Jeep has a Jeep, and with no clearly visible pathway to draw people out of their JK/JKU, JT sales are shackled with a high price point and dealers being typical dealers; is the the 2020 Jeep Edsel?

Saw my first JT in the Wild, a black Rubi... couldn’t tell if it was an LE or not, (had a front Trail Cam), just glimpsed it, as I drove by, parked by itself, in an empty lot next to a commercial building, in Española, NM... of all places! I drive around Santa Fe, Taos, and Albuquerque, all the time, and have never seen one, (in the”Wild”), before! ;{

So, I live in Houston and drive all the way across, 2x a day for work. I've only seen 2 Gladiators on the road, and 1 in the parking lot at work. much less than I would have expected by now. Still waiting on mine to get here.
