Depends what on the kit, but most provide at least some level.

Most lifts typically do just that, lift. Level will most likely still be need if you want to get rid of rake.

Mopar lift is 2" but more like 2.5". Of course there's also other options more expensive.

I'm going with the Mopar myself soon. And plan to run the 1inch spacer from my 1.5 inch leveling kit to compensate for the level and my steel bumper and winch eventually

I'm very happy with my Mopar lift, although like @Sarge502 said, it's a lift, not a level. The rake remains, and for good reason. I load the bed with construction debris or camping gear quite often, and things level out pretty well.

Lots of great options. Good luck, and enjoy.

Most lifts are designed to keep the factory rake.

If you look hard, you will find some lifts that are set up to level up as they lift.

If you find a lift you like and it doesn't show that it will level, contact the manufacturer, some of them will swap out springs to get you closer to level.

Thank you all for the info. very helpful in my decisions for what i want to do. this brings up another question. in my search for a lift kit, i like the mopar lift kits but have also seen many after market ones that are cheaper. i would like to get one similar to the mopar one ( shocks and springs etc) but do not know much about the quality of the shocks compared to the fox shocks. any chance you all can recommend a lift kit similar to the mopar one and the same or better quality? just a 2" lift is all, this vehicle will mostly be run on street and light trail use.

To be honest, the MOPAR spec FOX shocks aren't worth the money. Like the springs, info is not available for them, they are set up for what the MOPAR engineers think is best.
Which usually has nothing to do with how you plan to drive the JT.

Most of the better name shocks can be built/tuned to your exact ride and driving habits.

If you get down to nuts and bolts, tell them the weight at each corner of the JT, lift height, where you plan to wheel, the big boys can produce a shock that will make you very happy.
If your driving habits and locations vary, you need something that is adjustable.

Clayton 2.5" Ride Right is a great value. I put this kit on mine. Adjustable upper, front arms so you can dial in caster. Adjustable track bars front and rear to center the axles. No shocks, so you can pick what you want. A little more expensive than the Mopar kit once you add shocks. A little taller than the Mopar kit. Gives 3-4" of lift on a non-Rubi. Takes out most of the factory rake, but leaves a little. Just the right amount in my opinion.

I considered the Mopar kit. I didn't like that is comes with fixed length arms. It does not come with a front or rear track bar. Not a huge deal, but I wanted the axles centered. This kit leaves the factory rake. You can use a spacer in the front, but you will reduce caster by adding a spacer. And the arms will not adjust to compensate for the spacer.

Hey Shaun! Most lift kits on the market won't perfectly level out the vehicle unless specified. This is mainly due to how difficult it is to make a kit that perfectly levels out everyone's vehicle as all builds and models are different. You also want to take into consideration if there is going to be any additional weight in the bed, how often you're carrying passengers, or if you use your vehicle for towing so that you don't end up with the headlights pointing into the sky.

Our kits all remove about 1/2 of the factory 2" of rake, leaving the vehicle with a more aggressive-looking stance but leaving enough room to carry some weight without causing any issues. Usually if customers are looking for something a little more level I suggest just going with an inch spacer which levels the vehicle out enough that you can't tell there's a 1/2" of rake, and with the fully adjustable control arms and track bars our kits come with you can make the necessary adjustments so you don't throw off your rides geometry.

Hopefully this helps!

I have the 2.5" Premium Lift Kit. I am looking for a leveling kit also. My Gladiator rides down the road like the I have a hard side to side wind blowing, Took it to the dealer there answer was tire pressure to low (30) they set it to 45 (nitto ridge grappler 35s) didnt help. I think I need to level it before I figure out the side to side just in case it efects something else.

The teraflex suspension kits remove factory rake and do not need a leveling kit.

1) Not all lifts will provide a level - you will need to go half inch higher in the front to level out.
2) it’s all subjective - mall crawl or rock crawl.

Sounds like you're having excessive wandering, I don't think tire pressure is the problem, usually this is indicative of too little caster. Caster should be somewhere between 5.5 and 6 degrees for best results and minimal wandering. Bring it to an alignment shop and have them double check everything!

Right, plus 45 is way high for tires like that. Turns them into rocks, less wet traction, etc.
When you increase foot print, but keep the weight riding on the tires the same, you drop pressure. If you put on skinnier tires and reduce the footprint, the rubber on the road, you need to increase pressure to support the same truck weight.
That being said, stock 32.2" tires figured at 38 psi compared to wider, taller tires, you'd need to run UNDER 38 psi in the bigger tires. That shop didn't know tires all that well.
