That might be because the Willys package comes with rock rails instead of side steps. To my understanding you would have to remove the rock rails to install the nerf bars.
Yes, I believe you’re correct. not sure how hard that is, but I’m gonna look it up.

I don't think it is very hard, I just think that is why most people don't have them. I had looked at getting them with the truck when I ordered it to help the fiancé get in and out but was told they weren't available with the Willys package.

Yeah looks like 3 or 4 bolts and some nuts. Should be easy (famous last words). What part of PA?

There are 4 bolts + 8 nuts per each side. You should be able to do it by yourself, I was able to. Just save one of the bolts in the middle for last and support the rock rail with your foot/leg while loosening the last bolt.

I'm putting nerf bars on mine this week (fiancée is 5'1), will let you know if I run into any hiccups. Had hoped I could keep the rock rails, but I won't know until I lay my hands on them. A tree fell on my house last night so I have adjusters and tree people coming out (and work Tuesday-Sat) so may be on limited time. Also blacking out keyholes and antennae and adding a BAK revolver 4s tonneau. And a 1.5" leveling kit. After that and possibly debadging, will keep it mostly stock until I need new tires. At any rate will post up photos when I get the stuff put on/taken off.

Thanks! I’ll also have my teenage son helping me, so that should make it even easier. Gets his license this year and if he ever wants to drive the JT, he’S gonna contribute.

Can I trouble you to please post some more photos in daylight so I can get a better picture? I get mine tomorrow and can’t decide. There’s no way I buy new ones and reapply decals so it’ll be no turning back if I start. The fender badges in particular don’t look right to me. I could see the edges way to clearly for stock. They show up pretty well in the photos I took. My inclination is to lose them (except the tailgate 4wd one). I like the black trail rated badge but the decals I can take or leave.

Yeah I wish it was individual letters and not 1 big sticker with paint color background

I like the stock rock rails, but I’m in the same situation (wife is 5’0). Doesn’t keep her from driving it, but you know... happy wife, happy life.
Sux about the tree. Happened to me last April. Took out all 3 of my AC units and other damage to the house.

Sorry, hopefully you saw my edit about Canada.... would still call the dealer for sure but I remember reading canada orders are kinda on their own timelines
well here is the update, apparently my order is in the editing phase, so basically, my order has been accepted? The dealer is now saying it could be 6 to 8 months to receive my order. Give me a break! I should have bought something off the lot, but now I am stuck on wanting the Willy's. Frustrated in Canada. Driven Jeeps since I was old enough to drive, this is the first time I have been pissed off with them.

Wow. For your sake I hope they have no idea what they're talking about. Beers on me man.

Sounds like you have a dealer issue. I ordered my Sarge Willys with tan seats, cold weather group, Alpine, and tow package in Alberta on January 25th and took delivery March 24th. Negotiated about 15% off MSRP. Had my VIN after 2 weeks and checked in weekly with the dealer after about 5 weeks. They initially told me it could be as long as 10-12 weeks but surpassed that with ease. The only frustration for me was once it reached shipping status it took a couple weeks. If I were you I'd go into the dealer and ask for my deposit back and go find another dealer.

My wife is short (5’ nuth’n). Looking thru the pics I don’t see many willys with side steps. I just bought a set of Tyger Auto TG-JA2J2359B Star Armor Kit JT Nerf Bars on eBay but I’m starting to doubt myself. I know I can return them as long as I don’t open the package, but wanted to get some opinions on Nerf Bars on a Willys. Not sure if they will affect ground clearance or not, but one of the reviews says that they are not very wide. Which was a selling point to me, as I don’t want them to look like the running boards you find on Overlands and such.

Thoughts?
Go Rhino RB20s.
