Not a poll about what engine is more $ or mileage. Just curious what people will choose overall if they had to choose.
I would need the diesel in the Willy's to go above 6000 GVWR.
I have my own list of pros/cons but would like to hear what people would pick.

Have you driven one with the ecoDiesel yet? That will seal the deal. I want that engine above any other single option/trim. If I had to surrender rubicon for willys, so be it.

Since I'll only be towing nothing larger than a small boat and pop up camper I'll take the off road capability of a JTR any day.

Emission laws have ruined the Diesel engine. The pentastar is less ruined. All hope is lost, we will all be driving Retarded EVs before you know it. ?

I prefer the way the diesel drives. But....if it’s either or, I’d rather have a Rubicon for it’s off-the-shelf capabilities.

I was lucky and found a diesel rubi sitting in the dealer lot.

I need all 7000lbs for towing so I gotta go Rubi. If I wasn’t towing, I would probably still go Rubi. Only because I like doing a little bit of crawling.

Its easier to do lockers than it is a motor swap. The minivan motor is extremely underwhelming imo.

Honestly, bring them on. I consider the Jeep I'm about to buy here to be my bridge to that future. If the future can do anything to alleviate range anxiety then I am in. Just don't take away the ICEs I already have.

Rivian is looking pretty cool to me. When the MSRP on a nice JTRD is over 60k, and a Rivian R1T can be had for right at 60k with incentives, it's pretty enticing. The charging infrastructure just isn't there for me yet. I want easier road trips.
