I'm pretty set on my recovery gear, but was wanting to add a winch line extension to my kit and was wondering what you all normally carry? I have a 12k Badlands Apex, that comes with a 80' rope (Obviously, you can't use all 80' though as you'd need to leave several wraps on the drum).
I recently had to winch my brother up a hill that really opened my eyes to having access to a longer cable pull would be a really good idea. I could see if you ever needed to do an angled pull through a recovery ring, that you'd need a pretty lengthy cable.
What's ya'll's recommendations on size and length for a 12k winch.

I've been there and why I have multiple winch extension lines. On how and why I have a few is I got lucky to find a closeout store that had bought truck loads of of ropes, winch line, and other cords / lines. Unfortunately I didn't get there before they cut the winch line in sections off the spool. They were selling it for boaters for anchor lines and tie offs lines. The plus was it was being sold by the pound, it sold quickly.
