Would you buy a gladiator that is out of warranty?

Not for a heavily modified one, I don't know where its been or the skill of the driver if he went rock crawling. I'd have to really give it a good look over. Stock one? Probably, depending on the incentives of a new one.

Why not? The oldest JT at this time is maybe 4 years old. Is it a private sale or off a dealer lot? 90% of the time extended warranties are drawn up to make money as issues are minimal. Inspect the vehicle as others have said and look up the VIN for any recalls. If its at a dealer then they should be taken care of before putting up for resale.

I would make sure you have any used vehicle checked out by a mechanic you trust. I purchased a used JK from a supposedly reputable dealer and it turned out to be a total disaster. Hindsight is 20/20, so yes I would purchase a used JT out of warranty only after I had my Jeep mechanic check it out. If the dealer says no way, than walk.

I'm looking to buy and prices here in FL aren't that different between new and used. Like 5/6k for base models, and a lot are near or out of factory warranty.

I would not be afraid of purchasing a Gladiator outside of warranty. You can take it to your local dealer and have it inspected. If you use an inspection form like attached you can turn and use this same form to purchase a Mopar Extended Warranty. You can purchase this from multiple places on the web for well under what the dealer will usually charge. You can look up these warranties by just searching Jeep Gladiator Extended Warranty or you can visit. Chrysler Factory Warranty.

After looking at your post again. The warranty pricing is different in Florida. They regulate pricing. If you have a home address in another state you can buy from Chrysler Factory Warranty otherwise you will have to go the the dealer. Sorry for any confusion.

I really dislike this continued "buy from Gumption" debate. Not everybody has the luxury to travel. It's cool for those who can, but I think the vast majority of buyers are not able to do so.

If you can afford a $50k truck then you can afford it. Most people just dont' want to do it. There are other dealers who work like Gupton, that have been mentioned on this forum. The result is that just about anywhere in the country, you can get home in one long day.

Sure. If you are a cardiac surgeon and a day of your time is worth more than $5k, then I get it. But for most of us, its worth it.

Also, Gupton will put it on a truck and ship it to you. I think shipping is about $1000.

Do you have vacation time? Is one day of your vacation time worth $5000?? Also, you get EXACTLY the truck you want.
