great looking rig!

I had a couple of questions relating to your tires.

Any issues with the 35s with no lift? I'm curious about the impact to mpg, throttle response and ride quality.

I was under the impression that you couldn't run 12.5 wide tire on the stock rim. is that not the case?

thanks!
I have had zero issues with the 35s and no lift. Whether to run 12.5 inch wide tires on the stock rims is a matter of some discussion. Some shops will put them on, some won’t. My shop actually suggested this tire size. I asked the community for an explanation as to why this was a bad idea and never got an answer, except for poor tire wear, which I’m not seeing. Having said that, I am thinking about some new wheels after the holiday season, simply because I cannot let go of nagging question about stock rims and that tire width in the back of my mind. There’s no point in that continuing to be a problem, so if you are going to worry, I would get wheels.

As far as the other questions go: 1)I have lost around 1 mpg. 2)I cannot tell a difference in throttle response, nor in power, except that it spends a little more time in 7th gear, rather than staying in 8th. It doesn’t feel different though. The right quality is a touch harsher, but the Mojave rides so well, I really only notice it when it’s cold and the road has an abnormal amount of potholes in it. I didn’t take it Offroad with the stock tires, so I cannot speak to the differences there!

I hope that this helps!!

I realize its been some time since you posted this, but do you recall where that coupon came from?
Yes, it was an Amazon credit. I don’t remember why I had it at this point!

Great, I appreciate the reply. Definitely some good info...

Tire wear is what I've heard as well, but I like the stock wheels enough that I don't want to spend money I don't need to...

I like them as well. I would actually prefer to keep them.

So, I added some seat covers this afternoon so that I can take my pup with me and hopefully keep the seats in good shape. They are cheap, but I hope they serve their purpose.

This is a very simple mod, but I put on my skid step today from Body Armor.

I made another very small mod the other day…I put this stubby antenna from Cravenspeed on. It doesn’t work as well as the factory unit, but it’s clear up to about 40 miles. I’m happy enough:)

I just had my dead pedal from quadratec put on. If I wasn’t recovering from a serious injury, I would have done it myself. Now it’s like it should have been from the factory:). I can eat up miles and my bad foot/ankle doesn’t start barking at me after 5 minutes…

Not to derail your build, but you mentioned flat tow. Have you determined your setup yet? I just bought 2023 Mojave to flat tow. So far I'm going with the Ready Brute Elite 2, but haven't decided on base mount. Mainly I don't want to deal with a supplemental brake system and electric's. Thanks

I have a brake buddy for braking. I have a Rockhard 4x4 front bumper with attachments for road master falcon 2 all terrain tow bar built into the bumper. I then went with a wiring harness from cool tech that keeps the battery charged while I tow… I’ve towed about a thousand miles with it so far…I am very pleased.
