That’s awesome! I think I’d lose it if some jackass slammed his door into my new baby ??
I had that happen. He was so freaked out when I rolled down my window and yelled "WTF!!!"
I didn't do the yelling. But the dipsh## did decide to park somewhere else too. Might have been do to what he seen in the Jeep.... person or uniform of driver. I'm not sure which it was.? Then again my head has about a finger of space between speaker bar and my head when I'm driving my JT.

Don't get the shorty antenna thing. Looks rediculous. Nothing wrong with the stock one. Have one just like it on about 40 previous vehicles and no issues. What an I missing except crappy reception with a new stubby?

Ok. I'm old school. To each their own.
One thing with a stubby that you may miss is what we use to call Twacking. When I was 16 or so we use to tie fishing line to the mail box across the street. We would wrap the other end to a stick and climb up on my buddies roof. When a car would drive pass we would try to just catch the top of its antenna. Sometimes we would miss, sometimes we would be to low and snap the line. But when we caught the antenna just right it would Twack like crazy:CWL:. I cant imagine what the drive thought what was going on. 45MPH down the road and your antenna just start going nuts. Stubys are bad for the bored youth;)

Since you're starting off with a Mojave, the mechanicals will be superb, especially that suspension. My suggestions for first mods:

Tazer (already mentioned a few times)
Spider web shade or similar
Mirrors for when the doors are off (take your pick)

Go have fun with it, then you'll better understand what you want to do next.

Yes thanks, admittedly I didn’t know about the Tazers until this thread and it looks amazing!

The tazer unlocks some fun stuff on the Rubicon that should be applicable to the Mojave too. My personal favorite is the traction control kill. Turns off all electronic nannies and let's you drive the truck more spirited.

I hadn't seen a 3 foot long AM/FM radio antenna on any new vehicle since the 70's. Most everything now has the shark fin or a small cube mounted on the roof, or they've completely disappeared into the framework somewhere.. I live in suburbia and the 13" stubby works just fine.
But, as you say, it's all good . You do you. ✌

To each their own when it comes to what they like but a shorter antenna with a copper coil gets excellent reception.

The 1 I have survived quite a bit of torque :) I may leave it in my truck if I get a 4xe (leased right now). It was a PITA to get in there and was only just over $20. I'm not sure the aggravation of taking it back out is worth it.

@TheProdigalBastard Lol, I can't tell you the last time I tuned into AM/FM. I can tell you the last time I saw a longass metal antenna swaying back and forth that annoyed the hell out of me though. May 19th, the day before my stubby came in lol. Honestly been thinking of just putting a cap on my antenna port, but I may want some semblance of local radio at some point, so I leave the stubby there for relic purposes.

Lift and tires in the first 3 days if you can. Bed cover, front and rear steel bumpers. Off road lights. That's about all. Congrats on your purchase, prepare to be broke or in the dog house, or possibly both

As long as it's aluminum and has copper in it they get great reception. The all rubber ones are crap
