Naked means no top and no doors.
Topless means no top but doors on.
No Doors means doors off but top on.
And unique to JK & JL Wranglers and Gladiators,
Freedom Panels off but top and doors on.

Other variations such as
Freedom Panels only, top and doors off,
please elucidate in the reply,
(as if I could stop you).

As for me, I have had a '98 Wrangler in the garage
since 2014 that stays naked almost all the time.
A luxury because I also have a truck.

Regarding my Gladiator, the Freedom Panels
were removed once briefly
to view a solar eclipse
in the path of totality.

So I am wondering,
is the original attraction of Jeeps,
that feeling of freedom,
the wind in your hair,
the sun on your skin,
merely a fantasy,
a bygone dream.

I disagree with the open top being the original attraction of Jeeps. For many of us it's always been the ability to go anywhere. The ability to run topless/door less still exists, but it's not why we own Jeeps. Between the dust, mud, snow, and 115⁰ plus weather that are all common in the desert and the fact that we always have our dogs with us the top and doors stay in place year round. The freedom panels come off on occasion but even if the Jeep had a steel top and non-removable doors we'd still own them for their capability..

Need option "I don't like rain" ;) We did take the Freedom Panels off first thing. We liked it, so we ordered a Bestop Sunrider as soon as we got home.

As I have aged, I hate noise more and more which calls into question me driving a Jeep. I will remove the freedom panels every once in awhile when driving through National Parks. I remove the freedom panels more to clean and treat the seals to keep them from creaking and popping. Totally naked would never happen now.

My JTR came with the hard top, so I bought a soft top, then came into a Sunrider when I bought tube doors so there are so many possible combinations now. Since my truck is driven 50% for work I am somewhat limited to showing up naked but I do frequently just fold back the full top or even drop it in the bed if I have a couple hours to go. I'm not a fan of 65-70 mph with no doors or tube doors, I want the security of being closed up when on site and I don't leave it open for more than an hour in other situations.
I have the JT because of the versitility: truck, convertible, and manual transmission.

How many times is a "few"?
Anywhere from once to fewer and fewer
and now not at all.
In other words, the novelty has worn off.

I travel a lot for work, and when the weather is right for it I'm not home long enough to make it "worth the time". Eventually it will happen.

What if the novelty has not worn off?

My choice of wording in the subject title
may be causing spam warnings

For that, I apologize.

When I had my soft top wrangler I would go naked quite a bit, but I think that was partly because it was easy to drop the top, and hot weather didn't bother me so much when I was younger. Now it's too much hassle to remove a hard top, especially by myself, and I prefer my A/C.

soft top on year round, sold the hard top, didn't like it. soft top open every opportunity and weather permitting top and doors off for as long as possible. Many times in January and February where doors are off top on and its mid thirties to low forties at 6 am going into work but warms up nicely during the day. Jeep lives outside year round.
