My 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon is a Electronic computerized disaster !!! It is constantly in the shop for Power steering lockout while driving ! It is very dangerous to drive !! it has locked out 15 or 20 times already and sometimes the throttle stops working and the engine turns off . The computer starts beeping before this happens and multiple warning lights cycle across the dashboard . They say come get it its fixed and does it again on my way home from the service shop at Hoblit Chrysler Dodge . it has 4,200 miles on it . it has to be now called a lemon law Jeep if not cured by this 3rd trip to the shop . Ive heard a multitude of stories like this , I'm not by any means the only one with this problem . Totally pissed Don

Sounds like they haven't fixed it. I'd try and have them fix it.

Rarely hear of any electric power steering failures. I would venture it probably is not even in the top 10 complaints.

That being said, hopefully it gets figured out for you.

With all those symptoms, it sounds like there’s an Auxiliary battery issue.

Did you check to ensure all the fuses are properly seated?

Sounds like this is what is happening with our 2020 fully optioned Gladiator Overland. Under warrantee and 21K miles. it is 20 months old I think) Had the sensors go crazy, wipers running, flashing lights overheat fan on full, stuck in first gear and every light on the dash flashing. Can turn it off and on and reset enough to drive for about a mile before reoccurring . Took to dealer 41 days ago and still cannot fix. (also no loaner which is getting old) They say they have replaced computers, sensors, relays and tested everything. I reported to them to check the power steering system and aux battery, based on comments from this forum. They say they are talking with " Detroit" to see what they say This is basically a new car, only mods are fog lights, brush bar and larger tires. Any thoughts? Seems like this is happening to lots of Jeeps, but not a single source of the problem which is concerning for a truck going off of warrantee. I am thinking of exercising our option for lemon or buy back if we cannot be convinced the issue is resolved. I could never afford this type of repair after warrantee is up.

Mine has had sporadic misfire issues since ~1,000 miles and the A/C will just randomly turn itself on periodically.

I thoroughly enjoy my JTR and I have no plans to sell it, but there’s no way that I’d consider hanging onto it long-term without a manufacturers extended warranty that at least covers electrical and computer components.

Just had the same problem, only 1200 miles (2022 jeep gladiator rubicon) - they replaced the power steering pump - had a short in the electrical component - fingers crossed that we don't have any more issues because I love my jeep.

Had the same thing happen 6 months after I got it. Turned out to be a short in the power steering pump located on frame rail in front of passenger side wheel. Took a Jeep engineer to look over the data from the computer to see what was causing it to glitch. Replaced it, and now 2 years later, have not had a single issue since (knock on wood).

I will go on and say, if it ever happens again, I will be replacing the electrical steering system with the PSC steering. It removes all that crap and puts it back to the pulley driven pump. Has worked for decades, the way they should have left it.

@JeeP cares
UPDATE: So didn't last a day. Back to the shop this morning. This time another 50+ codes and now sway bar disconnect and traction control lights. At least she didn't go into "limp mode" but random sway bar message while going around a turn....really scary. Beginning to think I need an exorcism....

Adding to the same experience. Ours was in the shop for 76 days total and ended up being the Power Steering pump was putting out the wrong voltage causing a cascade of issues. We went through the Lemon process and they denied everything. long story and really frustrating, but we did finally get the truck back and its is working well. For us they replaced almost every module before landing on the PS pump voltage issue. I see allot of this and it must be a big issue. allot of our time was awaiting on parts. We may sell before warrantee is up as I've already ordered a new truck any way. I am concerned if this happens again what it could cost me out of warrantee. still thinking about it. good luck. at least we got 21K miles before it failed! yours sounds terrible.

Just last week my power steering went out on my 2021 gladiator diesel... I pushed all fuses and relays tight and pushed tight the cables leading to the power sheering pump... Surprisingly the
power steering pump came alive. Not sure if it was the cables or the fuses/relays. The relay's were all loose and I know I've tightened them before.. My truck has 27K miles... looks like i will need to keep an eye on this.
