Well if it’s delayed I guess I’ll save up for a bigger downpayment. There’s a positive for me.

I think it’s just speculation from a guy that doesn’t have actual insight into the supply chain. The previous delays for the advanced technologies was being driven by the chip shortage. That is largely going away right now. Production is up, including domestic chips. Demand is also down due to the coin crashes among other things. They are starting to get all the chips now.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but keep in mind that most dealerships are trained to take your order no matter what to have you “locked in”. Just becuse you have an order in for a ‘23 with those options, doesn’t mean it will be built anytime soon. Before you place an order, ask them to print off a current order sheet and sign off on it. That eliminates a lot any doubt. That’s how I always did orders and IMO that’s how any reputable dealership should do it. I’m amazed at how many dealerships will accept an order from the manufacturer build and price or even an email or written down on a piece of paper.

I worked in the auto biz for years, so not just talking shit about dealers not based on facts like a lot of people do.
That's what I did, but it still took nearly five months. Now that I have it, all that angst has faded away.

That sucks, but at least you got what you ordered and no discrepancy on price or options. It makes it really cut and dry.

Yeah, I'm happy with it. They gave me 6% under MSRP (not invoice), and I've now added most of what I wanted in regard to mods.

I ordered a 23 Mojave with those options and was not given that information.
Any update on your Mojave build? Just wondering if I should order or if it's going to be delayed.

Unfortunately no movement on my order. Not sure if it’s because of the safety packages or just a delayed start to the 2023 model.

My Rubicon went into production today and I ordered the safety packages. Also, this status page from the Jeep Tracker shows a number of Jeeps in production with the safety package too.

This could be true as dealers here in the DFW area have from 10-60 new 2022 Gladiators to sell, this does say we don't need any 2023 at this time.

My wife's wrangler (with safety group) is in production with a Nov 5 estimated delivery date. Order confirmed 7/18 and scheduled 8/23.
