Just that I know of. They pried my dash out and also tampered with the ignition. Somehow this fried the battery and the security anti-theft shut down the engine. $400 for a new battery fixed the issue.
Tried to get it in to the Jeep dealer here, a "two week wait" just to get an appointment to get the dash put back in correctly.
I have two GPS units in the vehicle; One that is easy to find, one that is hidden. I also have to put the club on it any time it is parked. The last attempt- my employee borrowed my ride and ran into CVS to get something and when he came out someone had messed with the ignition and the JT wouldn't start. These are professionals boosting these jeeps- to have the confidence you could boost a ride while someone runs into CVS tells me these people have it down to a science.
To make matters worse, my top has been tampered with as well. They broke plastic pieces on the top trying to pry in. Looks like i'll have to upgrade to a hard top.
Here are my mods, and why I think I'm being targeted:
Magnuson supercharger (nothing but problems, fyi)
Line X Sprayed
2.5 in Rough Country lift with 20 in Fuel rims/35's
Tyga roll bar
Alpine system
DV8 fenders, bumpers, tube doors, all custom sprayed
Rough country 5th rim mount for truck bed w/ full spare
I have two JL audio 10's and speakers to upgrade the jeep sound system, but the problem now is I don't see a point in installing any of it unless I can secure this somehow.
I suspect these are being stolen not for the jeep itself, but so they can part out the aftermarket parts and sell them. Everyone be careful out there! I'm in Tampa, FL and I know this group is operating here and has already stolen several Jeeps. I have to put the club on it every night and now probably everytime I park the thing. I can't enjoy it because people keep f'ng with it. Thinking of parking it in a lot and watching from another vehicle and maybe knee capping some mf's. Very frustrating.
The worst part is the dealer here (Jerry Ulm Dodge) is literally the worst Jeep dealer in the country. Their service department hung up on me four times when I tried getting an appointment. Ferman Jeep wasn't much better. Claims they don't have any service techs right now "Due to covid and the hurricane".
Funny, they never told me i'd have these problems when they sold me the thing.
