From what I have heard, The Club just attracts potential thieves. No real anti-theft value at all.
A guy I worked with years ago had his car stolen from his garage. After he settled up with the insurance company. He bought a new car and the "Club". The next morning he goes out to the garage to go to work. He finds the "Club" sitting on the seat, the radio missing, and a note on the steering wheel. The note said, " if we want your car, we will take it."

What’s that saying about locks not stopping thieves, just keeping people honest?

Based off recency and style of posts I’m going with 500 for things that haven’t actually happened Alex. On the other post you claimed 130,000 for your jeep and then on here you mention all your mods. You haven’t even broke 30k in mods yet so……

That sucks. Park it under security cameras as much as possible. Thieves do watch for cameras. I'm looking to build a house on about 5 acres in the country. There will be security cameras all around and especially at entrances, parking spots, and the front gate.

I’m sorry but these are not professional thieves.
1. A professional would have a code reader box and be away with your ride in under 30 seconds.
2. A professional wouldn’t be breaking plastic pieces on top of the door trying to pry things to get in
3. A professional wouldn’t be ripping the dash apart to try to start it

A CO2 extinguisher and hammer will break the Club lock. No need to damage steering wheel

Sounds like you have some low life’s in the areas you frequent
Exactly - any pro WOULD have the truck already. They don't try to pry things apart. They don't have to! A pro gets in and drives away, no damage, no prying.
These are amateurs at best, opportunists, hardly pros.
And the mods aren't what is making that thing a target. Not by any stretch. Stock is preferred.

Most vehicle thefts are either from where the vehicle is parked and its location, or the equipment that is visible and worth stealing for the thief. Leaving anything in the vehicle that can be seem from the outside is probably the biggest reason for thief, many times you are the problem and open up to invite thief, should it be this way, no, but it's just the way things are.

Where in Tampa Bay are you that you're having all these problems? I'm pretty active in the area and there's not much to report in Tampa regarding car theft that's above or beyond your typical stuff. Sure it does happen, but it's not a hotspot and there isn't a rash of them making it a huge problem. This isn't Milwaukee. As a referee for youth sports, I travel around the Tampa area A LOT and frequently park in places I'd rather not be, for extended periods of time (all day in many cases), and despite all that exposure not one single problem.

As others have pointed out, messing around with the ignition is not how real thieves steal a car these days. Only the TikTok-challenge kids do that in hopes it works. I think either you've got some kids trying to take advantage of you running without doors, or maybe someone is just hoping to find something in your open Jeep. Either way, if it's becoming a problem for you just put the doors back on and lock it up. That'll keep these opportunity crime attempts at a minimum.

Your first job is to secure your property. If it gets stolen after that, insurance exists for a reason. You probably have some kids in the area stuck on a TikTok fad. You gotta lock it up and ride it out. But if you ignore warning signs and it gets stolen anyway, well that's on you. And if you think they're going after it because of your modifications, many of which aren't easily visible or identifiable, it's probably someone you know or interact with on some level.

And that reason is to make money. They will do everything they can not to pay.

In the verbiage of the policy, there's most likely a requirement like "evidence of forced entry into a locked compartment." If they find out there's no real doors, they won't pay.

Have you worked for an insurance company?
They must have rules and contracts to prevent those who leave keys in the vehicle or leave doors and windows open or unlocked, or others who would play the system and rip THEM off from doing so.
I know haters like to hate, but face it, every company, every individual, is "in business" to "make money" - duh.
(except me - I'm in business because I enjoy the work and want to promote my hobby and see restorations done. I don't really make anything, I hardly cover expenses)

I've worked in an insurance company, and my brother has been connected with insurance for years - we've seen both sides of things. If people were honest, insurance companies could back off a bit.

Nah I wouldn't say I'm a hater. I'm just pointing out that you can't do nothing and expect insurance to pay out. We're saying the same thing

I'm well aware. Which is why I said the following:

...

...
I literally said he needs to take common-sense steps to prevent theft, otherwise it's on him. I'm not sure why you cropped all that out of your quote? Not a fan of being taken out of context through cherry-picking...
