FYI: NADA Market Beat: September 2022 New Light-Vehicle Sales Up 9.6%

Published September 30, 2022 Transaction prices remained at near-record levels in September. According to J.D. Power the average new-vehicle transaction price is projected to reach $45,622, up 10.3% year over year and the fourth-highest price ever.
It’s curious how prices never go down after they’ve been increased regardless of economy.. since a new baseline is set and people still pay why would they

If prices and inflation hold this same track.....in 2-3 years it's going to be almost 80k for a JT with a shitty V6 lol

Or $100K with a battery that takes 8 days to charge. Lol

“GM Hummer EV starts at $87k and takes 8 days to fully charge. A continuous 15A load to charge can add hundreds of dollars to your monthly electric bill. Overnight 8hr charge gets you 14 miles of driving.”

That's also inflation. Only way for them to truly go down for like products after that is deflation, which the Fed fights very aggressively to avoid happening. They'd rather have inflation than deflation.

None of this is new, though. The goal isn't to prevent inflation, it's only to control it from going out of control. Basic economics. It's to be expected.

I agree, the EVs are a joke and the infrastructure is not nearly prepared for the additional load.

Wow, the dealer F&I office will be able to retire on the money they make on the finance charge from the finance company. Do you realize this is going to cost you somewhere around $80,000 for a Gladiator, ????????? that deal. Not only are you getting taken once, but twice.

Where did you get this? I read you can get 16 miles with just 1 hour of charging.

Selec-trac is a clutch driven transfer case vs the gear driven standard or rock-track option in the Rubicon. I get the use on-road in bad weather but the clutches can heat up and fail off-road. How is this an option in the Rubicon?

Lol, the 1k cash down is my deposit so they'd order it (applied as cash down). I'm adding way more to the down payment upon receipt. I'm not offering up any more cash for something I do not have in hand.

level 1 charging which is 120v. Only way to increase charge rate is higher amp service. Level 2 would be a 240V 30a service. Your still looking at over 24hrs for a full charge. It also gets exponentially more expensive to install the electrical service and get better charging rates from home. I like the technology, but it’s just not there yet, nor the infrastructure required for me to jump in.

I wouldn’t take this “deal”. There’s more savings. SHop around, go out of state. I got my rubicon a month ago. Shopped around for a month. I mainly wanted cold weather and hard top and it had to be sting grey or tan.

Local dealers wanted MSRP or more. A bit further out were willing to do some rebate up to 3k. I found one 2 hours away in another state. 57,500 because it had tow package, wheels, and gorilla glass (And plastic fenders, not sure if that is more or not). I said I’ll do 52k. They said 52k but with the fees which amounted to $600. I wanted spray in bediner added, he said his guy can do it for $600. I said split it with me, he said sure. I got an extended warranty from them for 75k miles and 10 years. They wanted 4200. I said I’ll do 1900. They said sure. After taxes and fees and warranty and Bedliner it was 60k exactly Out the door.

At what APR?

I'm financing with NavyFed at 3.99 (the lowest rate) and over 48 months is only $4400 in finance fees/interest. Granted I'll probably pay it off in 24 months.

Chrysler went from 5.36 to 5.82 this week. I'll waive the $1000 for financing as I'll save over $3400 for the duration of financing with my bank.

You’re getting taken by Finance but so is everyone else. I financed mine at 0% through Chrysler Capital.

Who knows.. maybe in 3+ months I'll have to deal with figuring out financing.

Yeah but the 0 percent is only on the Overland. Those of us buying the higher trim models are only offer $1000 cash or now 5.82% which is trash.

If Jeep is going to keep upping the prices on trim models and options they need to do better. If they follow this business model much longer......sales are going to fuckin tank. Sales excuses like supply chain issues and inflation is only going to last so long. Let's be realistic......who in the foreseeable future is going to be willing to pay damn near 80k for a bullshit under powered V6 or a diesel that spends more time in the shop then on the road.

Jeeps days of large profits for minimum options are numbered. Price to value is damn near gone. Rather spend a 100k for a new ZO6 drop top then a under powered truck
