No special tools needed in my case. I used a 5/16 hex head for the front bolts and a 3/8 six-point socket for the rears.Make sure you have a star socket that fits the bolts in the Jeep.

Idk about the jackers but with your height not sure how well they would work for the Slammers for my Mojave best purchase yetI'll start off by saying my ass could be in better shape. I have not worked out and squatted in ages and my once plump bottom has morphed into Hank Hill's butt.
That being said, Im getting desperate for a solution. I purchased a well-reviewed memory foam seat cushion that has not helped.
These (cloth) seats are just awful beyond 3 hours.
I'm 6'4, 230 and need a solution that doesn't involve me chopping my car seat down being that I don't officially own it (yet).
If I'm not mistaken, the seat slammer that doesn't involve chopping the seat would make the seat higher which would probably put my head at the cusp of the roof.
Am I out of luck on solutions?
Same Here! Im 5'7 on a very good day. I can jump in and out of the JT with ease. No problem on long drives.Wow seems like this is one of those rare instances I'm glad I'm short ??āI find the seats in mine great, even after 12+ hours straight. I'm 5'7" on a good day
I vaguely remember seeing somebody on the forum that did that with washers⦠But Iām not entirely sure how secure that is. The desert does it brackets are really well-made and definitely make the feet seat feel like itās in an OEM footing when tightened downwow for 200 bucks i will go down to home depot and fabricate something for 10 bucks. I was gonna try it till i saw the price
if i were to do this i would most likely cut metal pipe to fit and put longer bolts in the seats. The washers doesnt seem like a good ideaI vaguely remember seeing somebody on the forum that did that with washers⦠But Iām not entirely sure how secure that is. If you think of something easy id be interested in trying. I had a set of the .75 spacers in before and couldnāt get comfy with them. Now recently im finding it hard to be comfortable on long trailer pulls and got another set to try again.if i were to do this i would most likely cut metal pipe to fit and put longer bolts in the seats. I believe it's the offset between the 2 bolt holes in the jacker. Too close together to do a 1/2" jacker. If you think of something easy id be interested in trying. i reached out to desert does it last year about maybe doing a 1/2in set. They gave me a phenomenal response, but readerās digest version is it wouldnāt work. So .75 is the smallest they can do.
the leather is just as uncomfortable after about 2 hours, wish the seats had more paddingI'll start off by saying my ass could be in better shape. I have not worked out and squatted in ages and my once plump bottom has morphed into Hank Hill's butt.
