Pulsing pump sound on cold start

its in the high 20s low 30s here, when I cold start the 2022 mojave gas, it makes a pulsing pump sound maybe 4-5 times then goes away, doesn't seem to be affecting anything but just want to know what it is and is it an issue. coming from pax side in the engine bay, its very subtle, any ideas?

@Brojave22 I think I am facing similar issue, please see this video. This has been happening since yesterday morning as soon as I unlock the car door! It lasts about 5 seconds and only happens when the car is unlocked for the first time in the morning!

That actually sounds like my daughter’s cat before throwing up a hair ball! Weird.

I have never heard anything like this under the hood.

only happens at temperatures below 32 degrees F and when the engine has been sitting for a few hours!!

Dang, that had my cats looking around for an injured animal!
Almost like something was trying to initialize and find "home".......... but then, naw, that lasted too long.
How do the vacuum pumps work in these?
Do they have a rodent in there using a bellows?

Out of curiosity, have you replaced your headlight bulbs with aftermarket LEDs?
This sounds very similar to when the built in fan on many of those bulbs starts to go bad or gets “sticky” due to cold weather. Just a guess.

Good call. Does sound like a cheap brushless DC fan that is COLD and struggling to go. Used to hear that on laptop computers in real cold weather.

Yeah ! Similar sound but yours is way louder, saw the post about LEDS but is not coming from the headlights in my case
