I think we got about a foot here over the last 24 hours. The NWS is being pretty doom and gloom about the next couple days. Blizzard warnings. It is some of the driest, most powdery snow I've seen.

When I bought the Jeep I sold my 05 Tacoma to friends. A tree fell on them today while driving. No serious injuries. Just some glass in his hand. He's a big fellow and was on the passenger side.
I hate to see it, but thank God they're ok.

In my corner of sw Pa. It was around 40F at 4am. At 9am, it was zero and still is. We got maybe an inch of snow. Steady 20 mph winds with gusts over 30 mph. Wind chill is -20F or so.

Put the dog out do do her business. She didn't want to go out. Had to pick her up and put her in the grass. Soon as she got done. She vapor trailed it into the house.

I had to make two trips to Irwin yesterday from Uniontown. All I got was some rain here and there. Nothing major.

Plow truck just went up the road. Blade down. I can hear him. There's very little snow on the road. Mostly he's dropping salt.

I35 closed north of Ames to the MN border.
Winds so strong the trees here are cracking, crackling and making spooky sounds (was -9 earlier)
50 mph gusts. Wires shrunk a lot from the cold, any whipping could bust 'em.

Been plenty busy keeping the house warm the last several days And preparing the generator for power outages. It was below zero for several days. Finally got up into the low teens today. Crappy thing is starting tomorrow we are expecting 38 and rain during the day for 4 days but low 20’s and freezing nights! Thats really gonna suck. I feel so bad for the critters. Theres gonna be huge die of this year. Hunting will be bleak for a few years probably. at least my back yard squirrel friends are fat and happy ha! And super happy to have installed the wood furnace this fall!

haha I was just about to post that pic. I cant believe it got -72. Wasnt the record -70? Cant remember if that was with or without wind chill though. -25 here in Superior is cold enough for me lol. Glad Im not on the east side of the divide!

Coldest Christmas in 40 years here. I washed the Mojave right before the weather got insane yesterday. He gets to spend his first Christmas in the garage.
