Someone, maybe you, stated earlier that they come from the transfer case, not the transmission. Good point.I also don’t buy that an incorrect driveshaft angle causes the internals to fail. Maybe after 100,000 miles and multiple ujoint or driveshaft replacements.
Also - joints will fail if there's too much stress or angle. I'd expect vibrations and so on.
