I also don’t buy that an incorrect driveshaft angle causes the internals to fail. Maybe after 100,000 miles and multiple ujoint or driveshaft replacements.
Someone, maybe you, stated earlier that they come from the transfer case, not the transmission. Good point.
Also - joints will fail if there's too much stress or angle. I'd expect vibrations and so on.

Got the truck back from the dealership and found this harness with a red and black ends disconnected by the OBD plug, can anyone tell me if it should be connected? Car is now at a local repair shop for a second opinion.

Yes the red plugs to the black plug that is next to it.
Can anyone see if their vehicle has this red plug connected?

Looks like it may have gone to a tracker or GPS? They probably unplugged it to hook to the factory DLC.

It is an OBD2 "Y" splitter. Usually installed for putting a GPS tracker like Bouncie or such on the vehicle. Not a factory OEM part.

Read the jeep warranty. If the Transmission is original equipment it is under warranty. It is in the owners manual. Did they sell you an extended warranty. They may have keep the money and not submitted the paperwork for the warranty. The right to repair act mandates that they must honor the warranty. If they don't than get a lawyer.

He needs to read the "whats not covered" section prior to hiring an attorney.

So, I had an issue with my 2020 Gladiator not even. 19,000 miles were the transmission locked down at a stop light no abnormal sounds, it just would not go into gear. Took it to the dealership and they want to change the transmission and told me that if they submit it to warranty it will iust void my whole powertrain because of the lift (Clayton 3.5) and tires (KM3 37). I reply back to the service advisor that this is a truck that has a payload of 4,000 lbs but the warranty is voided id it tryes to turn 400 lbs worth of tires? The advisor had no answer for that so he said the lift changes the shaft pinion angles and that can affect the transmission.

I personally don’t think isa seized transmission to start with otherwise it would have given me a warning of some sort, rough ride, noise or drag. All I got was a flashing D, N, R light and a message telling me to put the truck in gear. By theit did go into gear at home and drove forward but once I cycled it to P again it started to do the same thing it also gave me a message to service the emergency parking break.

what are your thoughts?
I will just ask if by chance you had a coffee cup in the front holder. I did, with the finger hook facing forward toward the shifter. It did not seem to touch the shifter but bouncing around, the (2022) gladiator jumped out of gear, would not move (in traffic!) and sent error messages like "auto park not available" and another one about gear selection. I put it in neutral, shifted back a couple of times and it did go into drive and then it did it again. I pulled over, looked at how close the cup handle was to the shifter, turned it around so it cleared, and all of that nonsense stopped for three weeks now. Hope this helps someone.

I don’t understand why Jeep didn’t make the shifter lock when it is drive to avoid accidentally bumping it into to neutral. My dog bumps mine into neutral all the time, and it’s annoying. My ford vehicles all lock when put into drive, and I have to actually push a button on the shifter to shift into neutral.
