People throwing a lot of US logic at a Canadian issue. With that being said, you will forever chase Ucoonnect and USB issues no matter how many software updates and parts are replaced. It's not defective, just working as designed, albeit a flawed and frequently broken design.

The biggest warning I can give anyone, before you buy a used vehicle with remaining factory warranty, make sure it's not a Canada vehicle, you won't have any warranty.
Agreeing with that from experience. Oh and by the way the dealership will sell you an “extended warranty “ to cover your vehicle only to find out when time comes to utilize it the warranty company won’t authorize your claim because US dealers won’t give you a parts warranty on a Canadian vehicle and no parts warranty means no claim (grey market).

Canadian consumer law or the lack of it really shows they hate their own people.
Yes we sure do hate each other!! We pretend to be polite but that's where it ends haha. I can't disagree with the horrible consumer protection thought, it sure feels that way up here. It seems we're on a decline in quality of everything up here over the past decade. Can I come live with you all somewhere in the US please?!?! **serious, I want out!

If you are not familiar, @JeepCares never actually publicly comments on anything, they just tell people to DM them with their issues and pass that DM off to a @JeepDoesn'tCare customer service employee. Good money says the people who operate the @JeepDoesn'tCare social media accounts are not allowed to say or do much of anything, including verifying or making comments on what is and what is not covered by a warranty.

Don't get mad at the people operating the @JeepDoesn'tCare social media account, they're probably interns who would get fired if they ever even tried to put in enough effort required to earn the name @JeepCares.
Jeep would be out of business without customer loyalty. Their customer service is HORRIBLE.

If it is standard or optional OEM equipment on a new vehicle covered by a factory warranty it IS covered. I think this may be a dealer just trying to make money. OTOH, if it’s something aftermarket the dealer added on as an accessory then it may not be covered

Seems like a great opportunity for dealerships that border Canada to exploit. I wonder how well known this is in Canada. If I knew this and lived there, there is no way I would ever buy an American made car in Canada nor should any other Canadian and the dealerships will adjust but then again, its Canada, who cares!!!

If the wiring checks good, pretty much leaves the media port to be replaced.

Yup they're the ones who told me this 'policy' without hesitation, matter of fact.
One of the dumbest things I’ve heard from a manufacturer in quite some time

i can assure you, have you had a Lexus and there is no liquid damage present, 100% a warranty item. idk about in canada, but here in the states it would be covered.

Yeah I don't think this is a Canada thing I think it's a Stellantis / Jeep thing. They are able to get away with it here.
