did you glue the magnets to the strip? im assuming flat magnets
I re-used the plastic brackets that came with the light, and attached each bracket with very short machine screws to rectangular neodymium magnets that were pre-drilled with counter-sunk holes. Taped over the magnets to avoid scratching (and prevents the screws from backing out). Has been in place without issue since March 2021. If you go the Putco route, make sure to buy the one with red turn signals (I made the mistake of getting the amber version and do not like the contrast, and not returnable or at least not without significant $$), and get the trailer hitch adapter that avoids needing to tap any wires.

Do the amber turn signals work? I just moved to the UK and have been scoping out the threads on changing the tail lights over to ones with amber turn signals. Need to talk to a local garage to see if this would be me into compliance with their rules.

Yes they work, on the model I ordered, sequentially. Catches people's attention.

Can they be switched to constant on instead of running with the turn signal switch? Was thinking of a solid (or blinking) amber as a chase light.

I would imagine it could be, if you cut into the harness, and wired it to the function you desire.

That was my thought, too.

...which gets me wondering: if you wired it into the factory aux switches, could you control light functions with a Tazer? IE Hit Aux 1, it's a blinking chase light?

I don't know much about Tazers.

Yet if you have a ground, you could wire each function to whatever you like.

It would seem to be a terrible waste of accessory switches, as I use them each for unique functions.

Winch

Back up lights.

Forward lights.
