Following as I was going to try the same one... purely based on price... Holding off to see if folks here have experience with other brands...
wow that is a great price, someone take the dive on this and tell me if it’s good

I put one together that I bought from Amazon. Fuel tank was inside, so it's self contained. Mounted it to a square of plywood that i Raptor lined and machined an RV sewer hose fitting for the outlet..... use a sewer hose to supply the tent. Kept us toasty.

Works just like my vevor but more compact and everything fits inside the case including the long 3" hose I added. I have the none bluetooth unit.
The plastic case is cheap. My first unit came cracked. 2nd unit is perfect. If it cracks, I'll replace the case. Can't see why the planar unit is 2k.

Thank you.
Does it produce enough heat and run “quietly”

The planar one advertises it works up to ~8000 feet and is pretty quiet. I'm not sure if that is different from the other units. I know some folks have had trouble above 5500 feet with some of the units (and resulted in fast failure). Can't speak for the one mentioned. For that price point, you could buy several replacements and you'd still come nowhere close to the $2k price point.

That’s a good point. I live at 7k feet and do most of my camping in the mountains. I’ll have to do some more research

It's hot even when set on low. I had to run it intermittently on low. Easy enough with the remote.
Sounds like a solid buy. How high up have you used this?

I have a cheap Chinese heater and it works fine. Lots of videos available on them, you have to not be afraid to tinker a little bit. They are pretty simple and most everything is available for repair. They have a cult following, lots of info and help available online.

What type of elevation profile have you used it at consistently? I'm also looking for one, and would prefer not to spend $2k if I didn't have to lol.

I cheaped out on the Chinese heater, If I was going to spend the big money on one I would look at a Propex propane heater. I still might gravitate that direction. I carry gas and propane already and now diesel. Would cut my weight down and make it simpler.
