Did you also replace the harnesses? I see all kinds things that need set via a programmer in the BCM as well:Hi, can somebody help, I replaced my manual doo panels with automatic panel for power windows and locks but, they are not working
Those are the last panels he will ever change.you seem to be offering an extremely slim amount of information about a highly complex procedure. What exactly did you replace?
it is my understanding that the doors for the sport and willys sport do not have the mechanisms inside them to motorize locks or windows. I believe the easiest route would be to replace the entire door (and some parts of the harness, and then tell the BCM that you have those features enabled). Someone who knows more than I can chime in and correct me.Sorry, I’m new at this, I replaced the harnesses and the door panels only
all this plus the dash harness may not have the BCM pins wired to the door connector.it is my understanding that the doors for the sport and willys sport do not have the mechanisms inside them to motorize locks or windows. This is correct. I have a base Sport, and only have 3 or 4 wires on the vehicle side of the door harness, for the door trigger, and the little light in the door handle.all this plus the dash harness may not have the BCM pins wired to the door connector.
You'll also need the interior carrier plates (the piece behind the panels) and then the motors for the windows. The door latches also need to be replaced with the ones that have the electronic actuators in them. You would also need the windows switches for the center console and back of the armrest (so the people in the back seat can lower their windows). Likely you also need the switches for "lock/unlock" on the door panels as well.Sorry, I’m new at this, I replaced the harnesses and the door panels only
Whoops. I didn’t read the whole thread before I offered you up as a resource. You'll also need the interior carrier plates (the piece behind the panels) and then the motors for the windows. IF your jeep as the full harness at the vehicle side of the doors then you need to reprogram the computer to know you have powered windows/doors.
I did the locks and was lucky to have all the wires at the door harness. But... as far as I can tell, I don't have the wiring harness behind the dash for the window switches so that would mean more custom harnesses .. and all the internals (inner/outer panels etc).
