Death Wobble with Mopar lift and BFG 37s Solved???

Well DW is gone but I’m still getting quite a bit of bump steer. Is the solution more caster (geo brackets or longer lower control arms), a track bar relocation bracket, or high steer kit???

I recently went through this and believe the fix was EVO geometry correction brackets and caster set to 6.5. My Gladiator has the Mopar lift.

STEERING STABILIZER!!! but wait…. Don’t get butthurt and throw a fit. It wasn’t because it needed or didn’t need one or because they actually help/prevent DW and BS or don’t. It was a unique situation where the Fox stabilizer had a dead spot when it was about 75-80% compressed it all of a sudden had zero resistance and the shaft would move back and forth about 2” with no resistance. Then the last 20-25% of compression was so hard I couldn’t get it to fully compress.
I am confident this was the reason for the BS and DW. I threw on the OEM and drove 40-50 miles to all the usual spots that triggered DW and felt nothing.

I highlighted the section in the pic showing where the stabilizer had no resistance at all either compressing or decompressing.

Get yourself a nice Falcon or Fox pass thru stabilizer, you can even go adjustable. Unless of course you returned the bummed stabilizer and got another in exchange.

They did warranty the faulty one and sent a new one a few weeks ago. It doesn’t seem to help or hurt anything as I can’t tell a difference with or without it.
I agree I think I’m going to buy a Falcon Nexus 2.2 adjustable.

Interesting isn't it after all the comments that a stabilizer can't be the issue. Turns out a dead one can in your situation!

I have the Falcon adjustable, soft is nice on trails, med is the normal setting as it is nice, firmer than stock, a better overall feel in my opinion, then firm is nice on hwy trips but not great in the city as the wheel doesn't return to centre at all, it will just keep turning!

I made the switch on my Mojave because I managed to crush the stop stabilizer and had very few options at the time. It was either low end or high end, nothing in the middle. I would have gone Fox to get the matching part to the Mojave shocks and more adjustments but it was not available.

Since it's "resolved" there's no proof either way. It could be resolving other issues could have fixed it.
That's the problem with these situations - 'it's fixed so stop looking'

Norm Layton and others said it's not a fix. So, the experts with years building for a living are wrong again.

BTW - the dead spot pointed out in that image - that's clear down near one end, so it's where the wheels would be turned, not straight going by the picture.

Jury still out because as said for years - a stabilizer can cover the truth, but as long as the DW isn't happening, then it's considered "fixed".,

I 'fixed' my 2020 by trading it in................. damn it!

I suspect that if there is an underlying issue due to some unnoticed play somewhere the problem will resurface, maybe be more obvious at that point.

Sorry our opinions differed sir… my gladiator actually drives great without a stabilizer. It did however drive like shit with the Fox unit that clearly had issues. I also apologize if the spot in the picture wasn’t highlighted to your liking.
At the end of the day the Jeep isn’t one of our daily drivers because frankly it’s an overall crappy automobile. It was nice to have a place to bitch and complain about it but it’s not a vehicle that’s worth being argumentative over. ?
