It depends on the 38âs. K02âs are known to be some of the smallest 37âs out there. Theyâre sometimes mistaken for larger 35âs. So unless youâre looking at 38â k02âs, I wouldnât use that as your benchmark.38s will fit perfectly no issues then, I appreciate you you helped me make my choice.
Aaaaaa I see, I was looking at some Nitto Ridge Grapplers. It depends on the 38âs. K02âs are known to be some of the smallest 37âs out there. Theyâre sometimes mistaken for larger 35âs. So unless youâre looking at 38â k02âs, I wouldnât use that as your benchmark.
Yeah. I donât know the Nitto measurements, but my Mickey Thomson 37âs are a full inch larger than k02âs.Aaaaaa I see, I was looking at some Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
I had them on my Wk2 and loved them but had 35s
Here you go
Metalcloak | Jeep JT Gladiator True Dual Rate Lift Kit Suspension
Hey I was reading that metal cloak recommends you replace your drive shaft if you install the 3.5â kit, did you have to replace yours?
which one did you end up getting?I have heard if you don't disconnect the front sway bar you can get by with stock. I replaced mine. You could install the lift, cycle the suspension and see how the clearances play out but even if they do I would plan for a front shaft in the future.
I appreciate you! Il be calling metalcloak tomorrow to get more info on the shaft they have if not il go with the Tom Woods one. Might as well replace the shaft now vs laterI got the one they sell. I think it is made by Adams. I am a big Tom Woods fan too.
Stance looks nice, glad you are happy.Just installed the lift, couldnt be happier with metalcloak
I agree that you probably donât need a regear with the diesel, but if you think you can wheel it heavily without eventually breaking something, like an axle shaft, youâre in for a potential surprise. The diesel doesnât change the physics of the lift and tire weight, and how it stresses oem parts like axle shafts and driveshafts.Stance looks nice, glad you are happy.
On a side note, I could care less if I get flamed, the people responding in this thread are useless. Iâm sorry, I had to say it. Why? Because Iâm on a 4.5â lift with 37s and it looks/drives/wheels just fine. Also a diesel, no need for regearing, no need for chromoly axle shafts, no need for axle trusses, no need for driveshafts, none of that crap. Did the lift by myself on the garage floor with basic hand tools, no spring compressors, nothing. Never even took it in for alignment. Cost for everything was just under $2300. People seem to think that because it didnât work out for one person that it wonât work out for everyone. Sheesh ?
