What is a "decent TS steering stabilizer"?
Sponsored
Here is my Sport with the 1.5" Teraflex spacer and stock Rubicon wheels and tires.Sorry for the bump.
I’m in going to DIY the Teraflex spacer lift. Is there any other recommended parts I should add to it?
Different track bar? LCA arms?
thanks.
Thanks for that, looks perfect. I assume those are 33s?Here is my Sport with the 1.5" Teraflex spacer and stock Rubicon wheels and tires.
I wouldnt personally throw away much money on things to go with spacers. The lower control arms are still nearly parallel with the ground, the springs do not bow, and the stock steering stabilizer is fine. The axle did not move at all, so a track bar isnt necessary.
I do have Mopar LCA's in the closet for it. I guess I will swap them in eventually. Truck is fine to me at 80 MPH on the interstate.

Sort of. They are physically a little shorter than 33", but its the size folks commonly refer to as 33" (285/70R17). I think off the wheel they are almost there. Thanks for that, looks perfect. I assume those are 33s?

Yep I put them in. Used a floor jack, two 6 ton jack stands, and hand tools aside from my cordless impact. Only word of advice I have - make sure you set the truck on the stands high enough that the axle can drop far enough to get the springs out. I almost couldn't get one side out but thankfully was able to before I resorted to using my spring compressor -otherwise its pretty straight forward if you're handy.Awesome. .
Did you self install the spacer kit? Any issues/problems/advice if you did?
Did you get an alignment done after?
Through shaft steering stabilizer. What is a "decent TS steering stabilizer"?
Thanks, Mac. Something from Fox or Falcon?Through shaft steering stabilizer.
I have the Fox but I have read the Falcon is very good as well. Thanks, Mac. Something from Fox or Falcon?
Interesting. I did the 1.5 TF and the axle shifted to the right, if the sitting inside. I haven't yet taken it for alignment because I'm debating if I install the geo brackets. I have stock control arms and after the leveling they no longer sit parallel to the ground as expected. The reason I am debating is that the geo brackets are for 2" lifts or above. Not sure how it would affect the suspension being that it only raised 1.5".Here is my Sport with the 1.5" Teraflex spacer and stock Rubicon wheels and tires.

Weird. I didn't notice any axle shift worth worrying about with my 1.5" spacer. I'll look again. It may have been ever so slight.Interesting.
