15000 miles on one of the lightest tire wheel combos with 40’s and the death wobble hit my steering doorstep. Super pathetic that Chrysler parts can’t live on a mall crawler longer than that. Went with fusion 2.5t and a synergy sector brace and after learning that Chrysler clearly has a problem with the steering boxes.. my dealer has 77 coming and 189 on backorder..hmmm yet no recall, weird, took the time to learn how to adjust the steering box backlash and got almost all of the slop out so now the steering is tight again, no bumpy clunky sounds and as precise(pause for laughter here) that the steering on a Jeep can be

Over the past 2 weekends I did the following:

Installed BAMF stubby bumper and Superwinch 10k winch. I had originally purchased a Badlands Apex, but this does not fit in this bumper, and can't be made to fit from what I can see. Since the Warn has been on backorder, I ordered the Superwinch. It fits the bumper lengthwise, but the bolt holes don't exactly line up and took some time with a grinder. Overall the bumper seems nice enough, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have the Warn Evo 10s that they mention on the website.

Then this past weekend I found a good deal on an Alucab set up in Dallas (only 2500 mile round trip). So, I left after work on Friday evening, drove there, installed it, and drove home by Sunday afternoon. It wasn't the funnest weekend I've ever had, especially with the 50-60mph wind gusts for much of the return trip in a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a toaster oven. But, I'm really excited about the Alucab setup, and am going next weekend to White Rim Trail to test it out.

Finally got a matching spare to fit where it’s supposed to fit. Kenda Klever RT 37”. MetalCloak adj rear track bar installed. Had to pull out the BFH for the heat shield that I’m not 100% sure is even needed but an engineer went through the trouble so it stays. I did my own bubba engineering on two of the screws holding the shield on to gain about 1/2” on the forward (near track bar) side. Ground off about 1/4” back side of receiver as well. Sits flush against underside, sits even between on frame rails (although it’s tight and rubs) and it’s level!

Commenced drinking beer afterwards.

Got the lift, new shocks, and front disconnect all installed over the past two days. I didn’t get to the front control arms, but I’ll do sometime this week after the 37s are put on so I have a little more space to work under there.

Drives better than before and was a solid 6/10 to install. The front was super easy except for removing my existing bump stops from my leveling kit, but the rear gave me a bunch of grief getting the new (monster sized) springs in untill I saw a trick on YouTube with a bottle jack and some wood. Super pleased with the lift and I’ll post more picture when I get the new wheels and tires installed.

I gained about 2 inches in the front over stock sport springs with a 2.5” spacer, and a tad over 3 inches in the back over the stock springs. Thanks @claytonoffroad for the great products and service!

I finally added some lights to my bed last week. I used a rock light set off Amazon that I'm pretty happy with.

They definitely light it up...

I still need to redo all the wiring since I put in the Genesis dual battery I don't have power in the bed right now...

(and I did buy an Apex 12k a couple weeks ago as well as an MP concepts AL factory knock off bumper, but neither are installed yet...)

Weather was nice so I washed off the winter grime. I also parked next a friend of mine's VERY small car. Couldn't even see him out the passenger window, I'm pretty sure his roof would fit under my fenders.

Kinda sketchy with all the lifted trucks around here to be honest, I'm worried the poor guy is going to get run over one of these days.

Mounted my winch and freshly powdercoated tow hooks. Also swapped out the decals/badges to the bronze 392 decals/badges.

has been good, but also changed a bunch of stuff on it to improve it,
spring rates were not ideal for the diesel, then had to change out the rear coils and shocks to match the front.

Pulled the wheels off and checked the ball joints. 12,000 miles, and the wrench clicked after about one clock position. Then went about one more to get a castle slot.

I had previously torqued them last year at about 2000 miles.

Cotter pins suck.
