60 MPH on a very boring 2 lane highway. It dropped down to 30.X once I got on the interstate an kicked her up to [Redacted] MPH.?

love me some summer blend gas!

I get 23-25mpg on the highway, better than my 21-22mpg with winter blend.

It's not just the summer blend fuel. It's the fact that it takes less power to push the Jeep through warm air than it does cold air.

I've had a few days where it was 10 deg one day and 2 days later it was 60. I will see my fuel economy go from 14 to 18, on the same tank of gas.

Back when I used to fly airplanes, the take off distance could be something like 30% less at 20 deg than at 80 deg because the air is more viscous.

Normally oil refineries don't switch until they have their spring outage, and fall outage. That's where they shut down and do all of their major maintenance and switch things around. Spring outages starts around the first of March through May. Fall outages starts the end of September to the beginning of November. I've been involved in a few of them when I worked for Elliott.

Who is Elliott and why do I care.

Elliott Tubro Machinery. I was on the on-site crew for outages and other work. Worked on steam turbines, gas turbines, etc. Did this for almost 15 years.
