The factory installed liner is just poor.

No, you have to purchase that separately. Unless things have changed since i looked at them.Does the coverking come with the sound deadener too?
I looked at them and saw they advertised the noise reduction but didn’t see them mention that deadening so I wanted to be sure. Confirms it’s a separate purchase. Thanks. No, you have to purchase that separately. Unless things have changed since i looked at them.
Ha!OK, come and do my wife's JLU now and if that turns out, might turn you loose on my JT.
My wife is used to Grand Cherokee finished interior and ability to have conversation.........
Thanks. Overall I’m happy with it. I was thinking it would have an insulating layer, it is essentially mounded thick speaker ish shag. Nicer than that but similar. That said, it clearly stops the sound from bouncing around the cabin and is worth it.Very nice looking results. Thanks for specifically measuring and noting the decibel difference. I've always been curious about that and haven't come across anyone post an actual before/after measure.
I always have to scream at my kids but I do feel like I have to scream louder at them in the JT than I did in my WK2![]()
I used some old carbon fiber tent poles, about 4ft 6mm rope for the ends and about 300ft of paracord. I’m in the backcountry right now and can’t upload pics but if you search my user name in the “What did you do to your Gladiator today?” thread you’ll see the pics. What did you use to make that attic?
Does not. Ordered from Amazon. Make sure to also order rollers to adhere it to the roof. Deadener works by preventing vibration (sounds) from getting through. If you don’t get proper adhesion it’s pointless.Does the coverking come with the sound deadener too?
Without a doubt. The deadener itself is like road tar. Dense and heavy for what it is. I was still able to pick it up myself and get it back on but I don’t think most could.OP do you think it added noticeable weight to the back portion of the top?
But, not at a level that would be a deterrent….OP do you think it added noticeable weight to the back portion of the top?
Armorlite works great for this too.I now hear the road noise more than before so I’ll be getting to work covering the floor and door panels with thicker deadening mats too.
