We saw a warrantied 2nd gen EcoDiesel engine come from Mopar with the NEW pump! That was two weeks ago! So, at least the crate engines coming out of Mopar have the new pumps!

My dealer received a memo from FCA stating that they would be sent 4 HPFPs each month starting in June and to start scheduling appointments.

same cp4? how do you know they are the updated pump?

The engine was shipped with paperwork regarding the new pump. I don't know what changes were made to the internals of the pump.

My 2021 has 55,600 miles since 06.30.2021 from Florida to Nevada to Alaska and back while pulling a 2700 lbs Casita.

How private are these memos? Generally speaking, is this highly sensitive? I can’t imagine it being more than a week before we have some concrete data to go on. When you say a Mopar crate motor, assuming long block, do you recall anything PCM update related or just the note on the new pump hardware?

I've been told that the new pump is simply a replacement pump with some internal changes. There are no software updates needed.

Possibly a stretch assumption but this aligns with a call I made last week to my local dealer asking if I’d need to restore emissions & stock tune before the work. After a bit of a hold, I was told I wouldn’t need to do anything at all, that I’d be able to bring it in as-is once ready.

I was told the new warrantied engine was shipped with paperwork confirming the updated HPFP, but I don't have any other details. I'll post an update if I can get more specific information.

Did you hear anymore on the new HPFP? My 17' Ram is in need of one. Ram Care stated the "new" part # is available, 68631088AA. Gave that to my dealer and apparently that's not the case. anyone else had any luck?

Usually, when a new part is made available the part number switches from AA to AB.

The fuel pump on AllMoparParts is 68501449AA and it supersedes all previous part numbers back to 2014. Oddly enough this part is not available.

I have not. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same drive to contribute valuable information to the forum community. It's a little daunting, but maybe you will be the person who can confirm whether or not the new replacement engines come with the new HPFP installed. I'm being told that it does, but I have not seen actual evidence (photos showing the part, part number, or other value information).
