Hey guys! I am one year into my lease of my 2022 jeep gladiator Willy’s. I absolutely love it and am def going to purchase at the end of the lease. That being said, I’m ready to start doing a few upgrades. I spoke to my contact at big O tires and it looks like I’m in for at least 2200 for a 2.5 inch lift with 35s. Needless to say, no way my wife would every sign off on that. So I’m searching for cheaper options if anyone has any advice. maybe just keeping my stock willys tires on. I saw another guy who kept his stock tires and put on a 1.5 in level kit and I thought it looked really good so maybe that’s a decent cheaper option?? If I order to 1.5 in kit will most tire places install for me? I’m def not a car guy so talk to me like I have no idea what you’re talking about, because chances are I don’t. I won’t do hardly any off road stuff except for driving thru fields to fill feeders and haul deer out. I just want it to look better because I can’t stand how low the front looks compared to the back. Any and all advice would be awesome! Thanks!

If you aren't planning on much off roading, I think a leveling kit would be great. I also don't plan on much off road use, so I plan to eventually get a leveling kit. As for a full on lift, if you get too much wheel to fender gap, you will probably feel that you should get bigger tires and wheels. Then you will need to regear, then you need.... Just remember, you are purchasing a bankruptcy starter kit when you buy a Jeep.

Someone may correct me, but with a 1.5 you should have ample room for 35s. I have the teraflex kit, but, so long as it's a true "spacer" kit, it's all the same anyway. Can't go wrong with any of the big names.

Ok cool so say I put the 1.5 on I can rock it on my stock tires for now then when it comes time to replace I could hypothetically move up to 35s?

I don't think any tire place will install the spacer lift for you.

Jeeping is going to suck if your wife has to buy off on things.
Haha ain’t that the truth, I didn’t get this to go jeeping per say I just thought they looked badass, and now I want to make mine look a little more badass without breaking the bank.

My advice is to save up for what you want.

35's will likely rub on a Willy's at full turn with your stock wheels. I installed the TeraFlex 1.5 levelling kit in the front of mine and am going with 285/75r17's (34 x 11's). Many on this site have gone that route. You can do a search and see if you like them. Lots of pics on this site.

Awesome, i think I’m leaning towards the teraflex 1.5 and I’m just going to leave my stock wheels and tires on. Just need to find a place that will install for me.

An even less expensive option that you can do at home: toss a few hundred pounds of sandbags in the back, and it'll level right out. The tires will even look normal.
And when you do haul something, you can remove ballast as needed so the ass-end doesn't sag with the load.

See how much money you just saved?

Where do you recommend I go? No way I would trust myself to do it at home
Call around. We have dedicated businesses that will install aftermarket parts.
The install is easy enough that if you have somebody who has the tools, the install won't take more than an afternoon.

Yep! I'm on the 1.5 and stock tires in the one on the right!
