I’ve had the falkens, ko2s and Baja boss AT. The Baja boss was by far the best tire in the snow and off road. It also wore the most even and the slowest. It’s the heaviest out of the 3 but it also looks the most aggressive which I like.

if only they’d make them in a 40!
I’m really hoping for 38’s by the time mine are ready to get replaced. I’ve got 24k on mine and they’re still going strong.

Mickey Thompson doesn’t currently make any tire in a 38. Selfishly I’d rather have the 40. I’m on the 40 Baja boss MT and would sell them immediately if I could get a 40 in the AT.

I’d rather not go much bigger than my 37’s, but I’d compromise on 38-39. I agree. A 40 in that tire would be epic.

39 ko2 is basically a large 38. They are noticeably larger than a 37

I’d rather stick with these in 37. They’re game changing.

Thanks for all of the feedback and opinions. I got the BB AT installed and they look mean, photos are coming. The shop used balance beads which I am not in love with yet. I get an out-of-balance shake periodically at various speeds. This is my first experience with the beads.

I'm also trying to determine the best pressure. The chalk test tells me it's less than 27psi, but the resulting road manners disagree. The shop started at 34psi, which felt fine on the road, but the radiused tread profile didn't seem right. I'll try 30 tomorrow.

The mpg has gone down, as expected but the eco diesel will still spin them under the right conditions (pulling into traffic). I don't think I will regear.

I have the MT BB A/Ts in 37 on my JTR gasser with the 4.10 rear. I love them for my daily driver. I am not a hard core offroader, but spend a lot of time in the woods during hunting and trapping seasons. They are more than respectable in the mud and snow. After messing around with a few different tire pressures I landed on running them at 28 psi cold. I'll air them up to 32 psi cold when I know I'll be doing a lot of highway driving (ie. trips from Philly area to GA or FL). Anything above 32 psi seems to make them a bit squirrely. At that point they really start following the crown of the road and require more attention to stay in my lane.

I don't think you can go wrong with your choice.

Call Mickey Thomson to ask them. They told me 27psi cold, and they’ve been perfect. I air up the rears a little when towing.

I love the look, I just gotta get the balance beads figured out.

I’d take them out and switch to traditional adhesive weights. Mine balance fine that way.

All though mine are only 35's, the Grabber A/TX's are snowflake rated. I have nothing but good things with these tires. Just rolled 36K and the wear is outstanding. Great in snow, slush, sand, and some mud. They will clog up, but a little skinny pedal usually clears them out quickly. Plus they are true to size unlike the BFG's and other brands.

I've tried beads and hated them. They never seemed to balance perfectly and I had consistent air down issues. 3 attempts out of 4 I tried airing down a tire and a bead got lodged in the valve stem. This meant having to completely deflate the tire, pulling the valve core, unlodging the bead, replacing the valve core, and then airing back up. I went back to weights within a week.
