Hello All,

Is anyone running the Rough Country 3.5" lift on your Ecodiesel? If so, did you go with the spacer kit, or the coil kit? I know that Rough Country says you can't use the coil kit on the Ecodiesel because the springs are not rated for the extra weight, but there are a few videos on Youtube of people who installed it and claim that it is just fine.

I am also considering the Clayton 3.5" for diesel, but it's way over my budget, and I am not planning to do any serious wheeling or rock crawling. Also considering doing the Rough Country 3.5" coil kit, but using the Clayton diesel coils on the front instead of the Rough Country coils that come with it. If I did not, I am not sure what shocks I would need.

Thank you for your help.

I'm using the Clayton 2.5" diesel springs in front with the JKS adjustable spring seats. Clayton 3.5" springs in the rear. For shocks, Bilstein 5100's. Front track bar is a Core, rear track bar is a Clayton to fit a 37"spare. Also using Teraflex geo brackets in the front and rear track bar relocation bracket. The JT sits level.

Metal cloak with rocksport shocks is pretty affordable and high quality. The front springs are very soft so it rides like stock. If you need a ton of lift you’ll want to try Clayton as their springs are heavier duty.

Good call on that kit...it seems like a good value. I just want 3.5", not more not less.

Clayton 3.5” diesel front coil got me +4.5” over stock, not +3.5. (actually +5” compared to stock springs with bumper and winch - stock springs sagged noticeably under that weight, while the stiffer Clayton springs don‘t). FYI if you want an actual 3.5” - try their 2.5” lift diesel springs

I run the 3.5 coil kit and a 1” spacer up front. Sits level and rides great. Took it off-road and had it flexing pretty good with no issues too. On rough road at higher speeds it can be pretty rough but that’s the only negative I’ve seen so far

We have a RUSTY'S 4" on my the 23 JTRD and a RC 4" on the 21 JLURD....
The ride on the RUSTY is vastly superior to the RC, 1000% better lift and better componants.... planning to switch the JLURD to RUSTYS when I have a few dollars saved...

The 3” spring option for the AEV dual sport is more like 3.5” . They’re extremely heavy duty, designed for people carrying loads, so if you just want height, they may not be for you. But they’re definitely more than 3”.

Mine rides fine without all my camping gear, but I’ve always got the weight of the rear rack, Diamondback, awning and my recovery gear.

Fully loaded with gear, including a full 63qt fridge, and Tundra 65 full of ice hanging way off the back. Still has a little rake left and drives like normal (not a wallowing rear end)

I've got over 20k miles on my Skyjacker 3.5" kit and it serves me and the Jeep well both on and off road. Great ride, even tire wear, no death wobble.

Nice! Sorry if it's a stupid question, but can you explain why you went with 2.5" springs in the front with the adjustable spring seats vs just using the 3.5" coils? Also any reason you decided to go with the Bilsteins vs Fox? Also, did you keep the stock driveshaft? Thank you
