"Shallower" is farther out.
Mojave needs a bit more clearance for the 2.5" shocks.
Mojave is +37 mm offset
Rubicon is +44 mm offset

It's one inch higher all around.
It's actually only higher in the front because it needed space for the hydro bumps. The rear are actually softer springs than the Rubicon which is why it tows less.

I read somewhere that it was only the front.

Why Mojave? Because for most ppl that do highway, 2 tracks, some moderate trails, and seasonal fun/challenges, it’s still overkill.

It’ll do everything that you ask of it, plus some, look kewl while doing it, and hopefully with less breaking points.

Sure, I look at the mods, and dream of changing this and that, but I really don’t need to. I’ve taken mine to places that were pretty sketch, and it didn’t even lose traction on a single tire. That thing is freaking awesome.

I would encourage anyone to take your stock rig out, and give it a whirl. Try it out and then, if you reach some limit or restriction, address that issue.

Use your extra funds on things like camping gear, tube doors, besttop, more mini-vacations, better food quality, and spending time with the family.

personally, I think the Mojave’s will become collectibles.

If I could go back in time...I would have gone Rubicon over Mojave. I'm so sick of seeing "this part does not fit Mojave" because of the cowl and hood.
While I feel your pain, part of me is also thankful for the money that i didn’t spend. The aftermarket supplies will come, and if they don’t come I hope we can enjoy fabricating something that’s better than the market has to offer. For the most part, you’re talking cowel mounts, front skid, and different shocks/rims.

for some part of that, you should be able to make something on your own, with very little diy skills. Get creative.

There’s an issue with aftermarket rims fitting?

The Mojave comes with a different offset than the Rubicon. So, if you want to go with bigger tires, compared to a rubi, I would think you would need at least a 1/2” more clearance for those Fox shocks.

Dude no...just no. If you buy new rims just get Mojave offset...if just doing tires you already have the 1/2" with your stock Mojave rims.

I definitely don't care for the non functional hood.

What about the cost of maintaining those fancy shocks? I hear the stories about people needing them rebuilt at 25k.... I don't want to be spending 2k on shocks every other year. If maintenance cost were the same I'd choose Mojave but with the shocks being a big question mark I'm leaning toward Rubicon... or Tacoma.

Rubicon to me is a Willys with slightly upgraded shock, electric sway bar and diff lockers

Mojave you can get manual disconnecting sway bars from lynx and have a way better off roader with all the better components standard, IMO
